I don’t have much natural cushioning on my butt so sitting on hard plastic for an hour gets painful. This pad is just perfect for me, actually when I’ve lost my first one I’ve bought the exact same.

I agree with other users that it could use more padding. But with that said... I have recently been dealing with a strained tendon connected to my tailbone, making sitting somewhat painful. This made me very hesitant to kayak so I ordered this seat for my boat. The result? I wasn't expecting to be as pleased as I was! It worked so well that I was able to kayak for 3 hours in comfort with just a little aftermath discomfort. Made a difference for me at 175 lbs.

The material holds water, so once it gets wet, you get wet too because you sit on a wet sponge. It's not a lot of wet. But it's enough to make your clothing wet. Manufacturer says it towel dries. Well, mine didn't. Water does not bead up. It soaks in.My Yakpad is going back!

Used this on a 3 day sea kayaking trip. My butt never hurt, and it never occurred to me that I'd been sitting for hours at a time. It was just that comfortable! It also never felt wet (even when it was), and never developed a smell (even when dirty and wet).
