I know a lot of people say this album doesn't have the same heart as (cross) or A,V,D, but I think it's still a great album. Its highs aren't as high, but its lows aren't as low, which makes it more consistent. There aren't as many stand-out tracks, but the album is arguably at least as good as a whole if you listen to it straight through. It manages to be a good album without any gory bass drops or screaming synth leads. There's a time and place for that sound, but this album wasn't it, and that's fine. To put it simply, I thought this was a very tasteful electronic album.

Life affirming music at its finest. When Justice hit the scene almost a decade ago, many called them the next Daft Punk. They live up to that promise and chart their own unique course. Highly recommended.

Un album dove la ricerca del sound risulta protagonista assoluta, voci in falsetto in ricordo dei '60, cosi come gli effetti usati, il tutto a confezionare un timbro ormai scomparso, riportato egregiamente in vita dal duo Justice, che ha saputo reinterpretarlo in chiave moderna aggiungendo quel tocco personale che contraddistingue questi artisti. Meno aggressivo del precedente album, piu deidcato all'ascolto che alla danza, ma anche no... Chitarre elettriche, synth e drum machines vintage e tanti bei passaggi a compilare un arrangiamento tutto fourchè banale, insomma, poche tracce ma di assoluta qualità, la maggiore maturità artistica raggiunta è palpabile. Tracce come 'Pleasure', 'Fire', 'Randy', 'Stop' e 'Love SOS' meritano davvero attenzione, sono di quelle tracce che ti fanno pensare 'perchè fin'ora nessuno l'aveva scritta'... INSOMMA, ottimo lavoro Justice!

Da ist es also, das neue Justice Album!Eins Vorweg: Wer hier ein weiteres "Cross" erwartet wird maßlos enttäuscht werden. Lediglich ein Track errinert noch an die alten "Cross" Zeiten.Wer hingegen ein funky, oldschool Dance/Disco Album, gekoppelt mit modernen, aber auch Retro Synths, erwartet,welches den Sound von "Audio, Video, Disco" erweitert, wird dieses Album lieben.Künstler entwickeln sich weiter und wie auch schon Daft Punk 2013 lösen sich Justice von Ihren anfänglichen Werken und setzen bei Ihrem neuen Album vermehrt auf eingängige Melodien, Chöre, Gitarrenriffs und Synthesizer.In der zweite Hälfte des Albums hingegen merkt man trotz Allem bei einigen Songs noch woher Justice eigentlich kommen.Diese ist etwas experimenteller und kommt mit Teils unkonventionellen Drumlines und Tech-Synth Klängen um die Ecke,welche aber oft im weiteren Verluf der Songs wieder mit weicheren Synths und Melodien ausgeglichen werden.Ich möchte nun auf die einzeln Tracks eingehen:TRACK 1: SAFE AND SOUND:"Safe and Sound" beginnt mit einem langgezogenen Chorintro welches dann promt in einer funky French-House Drumline mit einigengroovigen Bassgitarren-Riffs übergeht. Im Verlauf des Songs paart sich zu den eingängigen Chorgesängen einige Strings welche den Song weiter vorran treiben. Eine verzerrte E-Gitarre verläuft sich weiter in der Melodie, während die Strings und die Synths den Song immer wieder auf einzelne Höhepunkte zutreiben. Genialer Song!5 VON 5 STERNENTRACK 2: PLEASURE:"Pleasure" beginnt recht schnell und startet in einer soften Drumline welche von funky Synths und einer hohen Männerstimme unterbrochen wird.Der Sänger wird im Verlauf der Hook wiederrum von einem Chor unterstützt. Der Song wird zum Ende hin ein wenig zu überladen, was dem Gesamteindruck aber keinen Abbruch tut.4 VON 5 STERNEN.TRACK 3: ALAKAZAM ! :"Alakazam!" ist in jeder Hinsicht ein interessanter Track. Ein Kopfnicker-Beat vom Herren wird mit unkonventionellen Vocals und einer groovigen Bassline ausgestattet. Der Song baut sich immer mehr auf und artet in der Hook in einem relativ hartem Prog-Rock-Synth aus.Der Song hat, wie der Name schon vermuten lässt, tatsächlich einige "magische" Synths am Start.5 von 5 STERNEN.TRACK 4: FIRE:Dieser Track ist wirklich on Fire. Wer bei diesem Track still halten kann, sollte sich dieses Album nicht kaufen.Funky, funky, funky. Mehr geht nicht! eine geniale Bassline und innovative Synths gepaart mit einer Ohrwurm Pre-Hook,sowie Hook machen diesen Song zu einer French-House Bombe.5 von 5 STERNENTRACK 5: STOP:"Stop" lässt es sehr ruhig angehen. Eine angenehme Vocal haucht immer wieder die gleichen Sätze ins Mikro, welche sich schnellin den Kopf setzen. Funky Synths und ein fast schon Balladenartige Hook runden diesen Song ab.Einer der entspanntesten Songs, der gegen Mitte auch mit Abwechslung durch eine soften Gitarrenpart punktet.5 VON 5 STERNEN.TRACK 6: CHORUS:"Chorus" beginnt mit harten 90iger Jahre Synths welche sich gegenseitig in eine schnelle Bassline treiben. Der Song wird etwa ab der Mitte durch einen melodischen Chor unterbrochen, der eine eingängige Melodie in das Mikro summt welche im Verlauf durch eine E-Gitarre immer weiter überlagert wird und schlussendlich in einen Impro-Gitarren Riff mündet. Kein Highlight, aber dennoch gelungen.4 VON 5 STERNENTRACK 7: RANDY:Einer der Titeltracks des Albums. Wie auch schon "Fire" kommt hier wieder durch eine treibende Drumline und abgespaceten Sci-Fi Synthsder Kopf zum Nicken. Die Vocals steuern Ihren Teil bei und passen sich perfekt in den Song ein!!5 VON 5 STERNENTRACK 8: HEAVY METAL:Der meiner Meinung nach Schwächste Song des Albums. An alte Retro Spiele erinnernde Synths gepaaart mit immer wieder schnell ausbrechende Drums wollen nicht wirklich in Fahrt kommen. Ab der Mitte des Songs kommt eine eingängie Synth-Melodie mit ins Spiel, welche den Song doch noch einmal aufwerten kann.3 VON 5 STERNENTRACK 9: LOVE S.O.S.:Der Track beginnt mit einem nervigen Sirenensound und man fragt sich erst einmal, was das woll werden soll. Schnell merkt man aber, dass Justice hier einen Geniestreich gelungen ist. Die eingängigen Vocals und die Progressiv-Synths fangen den Sirenensound optimal ein. Gegen Ende des Songs kommt sogar richtig Groove auf. Absolute Empfehlung, auch wenn es ein paar Durchläufe dauern kann bis man den Wert dieses Songs erkennt.5 VON 5 STERNENTRACK 10: CLOSE CALL:"Close Call" lässt es zum Abschluss noch einmal ruhig angehen und nimmt sich mit seichten Gitarrenriffs seine Zeit. Ab der Mitte des Songs kommen wohl die abgefahrensten Retro-Synths der gesamten Platte zum Einsatz. Der Song ist nicht schlecht, bietet jedoch kein Highlight und lässt wie schon ein paar mal in diesem Album den Song mit hochgeschoben Strings zu Ende gehen.3 von 5 STERNEN.Ingesamt hat sich Justice weiterentwickelt und mir persönlich gefällt diese Entwicklung ziemlich gut."Cross" hat damals ein paar bahnbrechnende Electrotracks hingelegt, auf der anderern Seite aber auch unglaublich nervige Songs wie "Stress"."Audio, Video, Disco" hatte einige Highlights zu bieten. Insgesamt aber zu wenig Abwechslung innerhalb des doch recht unstrukturierten Albums."Woman" bietet ein breiteres Spektrum an Funky Sounds und macht einfach unglaublich viel Spaß!5 VON 5 STERNEN!!
