The flat edge is perfect for pressing product into the skin, and the rounded sides give a seamless finish with minimal effort. The pointed tip is surprisingly effective at getting around the nose and under the eyes.I use it damp, and it gives my makeup a soft, skin-like finish, never streaky or cakey. It’s firm enough for control but still soft on the skin. I appreciate that it’s latex-free and cruelty-free, and the two-pack is convenient so I always have a clean one ready.It’s easy to clean, but like any sponge, it starts to break down after several weeks. Replacing it monthly, as recommended, feels reasonable, especially given the price point. Honestly, it does what it’s supposed to without any gimmicks, which is exactly what I want from a makeup tool.

Probably not the intended user, but I use these to do blending techniques and for weathering on miniatures and it works great! They are easy to wash even when using paint. I like how to sponge is made as well, it's very fine so does well with blending, etc.

Ok but absorbs too much product. Maybe this is a newer version of the product?
Real techniques seems to have changed their product. These newer sponges are lighter, airier and appear to absorb more product. I miss the denser one…I may try another brand the next time I run out of beauty blenders.
