I bought this because I was recently diagnosed with dry eye. My ophthalmologist recommended using a slightly warmed wet compress on my eyes for many minutes every evening. It’s kind of a pain in the neck to do it. So I bought this and I heat it in the microwave for 14 seconds only and then I put one layer of a soft but cold wet washcloth over the mask and press it against my eyes and within about 15 or 20 seconds, it has become warm, not hot, which is what the doctor wanted for my eyes. So this works like a charm and I’m very happy with it.

This is our second purchase of the same product after 2 years of significant use. First one blew in microwave but did not make a huge mess and was easy to clean. Safe to say that it’s worth the money.

After reading the reviews, I decided to try this out for the next time I had a migraine. So I placed it in my freezer in the cloth bag it came with, until I had my next one. I pulled it out yesterday after I started getting a bad migraine. Unfortunately, the cloth and plastic that enclosed the beads absorbed some of the stale smell of my freezer so that wasn't pleasant, but besides the smell it did help a lot with my migraine. I am going to try to febreeze it and then place it in a ziploc bag when I put it into the freezer for next time. I would definitely recommend this for migraine relief, just be sure to put it in a plastic bag before you freeze it.

The media could not be loaded. Initially I was comparing this mask to the cheaper one available on Bolo. My husband suggested that I spend the extra money especially since it came with a pouch AND more importantly, came with a 1 year NO QUESTIONS ASKED warranty. I am soooo glad I listened to him. This mask is amazing!!!! You definately get what you pay for!!!I just microwave for 30-40 seconds and the tiny beads stay toasty for 30 minutes. See attached video.It is larger than others and fits across almost half of my face which really helps with inflammation due to allergies. Also perfect for headaches/migraines. The quality is exceptional. The fabric side is super soft. I wipe it down after each use with a sterile wipe but the directions say it can be hand rinsed with soapy warm water. I have been diagnosed with Blepharitis and my Opthamologist's instructions stated I should use a warm compress twice a day for 30 minutes. I used a heated gel pack until this mask arrived and didn't losen up anything. I CANNOT believe how much was loosened up after initial use of this mask! I love it so much, I bought another one for my Mom. It does its job whether you use it for cooling or for heat. Valcro so you can adjust the size in the back. Easy to use super light weight and sturdy

This mask worked great for a year and then the seams unraveled and began leaking its contents. Tape couldn’t hold it together much longer after that.

So, I saw someone using one of these as part of a costume on a day I had a migraine. I had an amazing idea, I bought this and put it in the freezer. When I have a migraine and my head feels hot, I can strap this onto my forehead, not eyes for me, for 15 minutes then swing it around and do the bottom of my skull for 15 mins., or vice versa and it is heaven. I've seen cold wraps for migraine heads before, but they go around your whole head and that is too cold and sometimes they are too skinny or they have scents in them (yuck), Migraines suffers know, we don't want to smell anything too strong. This seems like a silly idea, but I love it. Oh, and it will reduce the puffiness around my eyes when I have a migraine if I even care about that when I'm hurting! lol

As someone who get's pressure headaches/ migraines on a regular basis this gel eye mask is my lifesaver! Unlike most gel eye masks this one has alot of the beads in it and it stays cold for a pretty long time! So long that it's the only way I can fall asleep now if I have a headache/migraine. The mask is so soft on your skin and the band with velcro is durable and comfortable on your head. It's worth every penny trust me! I will be getting a second one so I can switch them out in between uses when I need it as it does take a little bit to get cold again,due to the impressive amount of beads that are in the mask. I have only used this product for the cold but as mentioned before, you will not be disappointed with this purchase! Plus, it comes in it's own little travel/carry bag!

Cheaper cost is always better, but this is well worth its cost.I am buying another one for my wife as she loves it.Great for having a short snooze or when ever sleeping where there is too much light.
Gel Eye Mask Hot/Cold
Well made and covers the eye area well. Problem I have it doesn't feel cold enough on the cloth side. So I will put the gel side on my eyes for about four-five minutes which helps reduce the swelling. For a warm compress use the Bruder Eye mask which is excellent .
