The best deal I've found on high quality chyawanprash...
I've tried several brands of Chyawanprash over the years, and this is currently the best I've found that's available in N. America. The taste is a good balance of sweet and spicy. I agree with another reviewer who pointed out that it's far superior to Dabur, which is the brand you'll see in almost every Indian grocery store. Patanjali/Divya products are from a company inspired by Swami Ramdev, a well-known Yoga teacher in India. I've used other products from this company and I'm convinced that they are conscientious and that what they are offering is of high quality.This product is also a great value at the price because the jar is a full kilogram = 1000 grams = 2.2 lbs, whereas a lot of the other brands are only 500 grams, some even less.
Fantastic good tast, like a very thick jam
I have tried other Chyawanprash products, they were okay, but this one has an exceptionally good taste, some spice, i can't exactly say which, but it is just very good.
Makes delicious chai
If you like Indian chai, you’ll like this. I add a spoonful to black tea (usually assam) & add some almond milk and it’s delicious. I’m not sure I’m sold on the health benefits, but can’t hurt. I only took a star off because I am 99% sugar free and this is very sweet. I’d prefer less sweetener so I could use a larger dose of the herbals, but anything more than a heaping teaspoon in my tea makes it too sweet for my taste.
Helos with immune boost! Tasts good!
I've used Chyavanprash for years for an immune booster. If I feel like I'm getting sick or getting a cold sore I take a spoonful of it and I feel great, have more energy and never get sick. Recently we had the stomach flu in our house. It started with one person and every 2 days or so someone else would get sick. I ordered this right away because I was out of my regular brand. This one works better than any I've tried, it taste better and is a large tub instead of a really small tub. It smells different than others I've tried, not in a good way , but it really does taste so much better. I'll order this one again next time, but this tub will last me for a long time.

It's a strong tasting paste you eat like jam on toast or in hot water as a tea...colon cleanse so start slow!Think chai tea flavors x5 I will roll into a tiny ball and swallow like a pill with water, but I'm sure you get used to it. It's like a buttery consistency so it does spread on toast well. It is mostly sugar but you need that for taste. You only take a tsp a day per my Indian Dr so it's only 4 carbs. It's a easier and cheaper way to get in all those Indian spices that are supposed to be good for you. It's for immune disorders, allergies, energy and to keep you well during cold and flu season. I'm using it for fibromyalgia.....wish me luck hahaha

I usually buy chyawanprash from Lotus Blooming herbs, which is one of the best. This time I thought of trying the Patanjali chyawanprash, which is advertised as all natural and emerging brand from India. But I was thoroughly disappointed. I ordered a 1 Kg jar. In the new jar, there was a clear phase separation, solid mass below semi-liquid solvent. This you never see in a Chyawanprash. It was an indication of incomplete cooking of the prash. Further, it was too sugary and the tell-tale taste of Piper longum was completely missing in it. It's definitely one of the worst prash preparation, I have ever had.
