AT&T 213 White Corded Phone is a basic phone that's reliable and easy to use. It uses a simple corded operation and is made of sturdy construction. The base can be placed on a convenient surface or can be mounted on the wall, saving on counter space. A 10-number memory dial feature lets to store your most frequently called numbers (up to 21 digits). A directory card is provided to keep track of all memory dial settings. A redial feature lets to quickly call the last outgoing number (up to 32 digits). Three ringer settings (off, low, and high) and three handset volume levels permit customization. Switchable tone and pulse dialing methods are also provided. The illuminated keypad helps to operate the phone even in darkly lit areas, while a prog/mute button on the handset lets you hear the other party while muting your side of the conversation. It also comes backed with a one-year limited warranty.

Answering service comes in letting me know I have a message. Great phone

My blind friend Robert gets along pretty well on his own, but he needs a sturdy, very basic phone. This is the best phone I can think of for people who are visually impaired. It has very big buttons, and it has nothing complicated on it. It's no longer made in the US by Western Electric, but it's still well-made.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Works well but the case (that holds the handset) is simply too light weight. One of these days I might try to place a lead weight inside it. Good price!

If you need a relatively inexpensive landline phone this is the one for you, reception is clear the volume control for the hearing piece is great, I also like the illuminated keypad.

Most of you aren't old enough to remember the old black phones. The kind that were heavy and damn near indestructible. Well these aren't heavy, but I can't tell you how many times my phone has hit the floor from a height of about three and a half feet, and it still works. This phone has gotten abuse, and it still works. I'm hearing impaired and it helps so much. I like it so much that I got one for my godmother and one for my daddy. I really recommend it. Y'all have a good day.

Worst phone ever. I bought it for my mom to have in her memory care room because cordless digital phones are starting to confuse her. However, I'm returning it. First thing I noticed was how light it was. No weight at all. Seemed like poor quality. I plugged it in and made a phone call. On my end, the call sounded muffled; like someone had a blanket over their end. The person I called using this phone said the sound was terrible on their end; so muddy sounding they couldn't hear me. Absolutely awful product. Not made like they used to be. I have an old one, similar model, from the 1990's and when I plugged that one in it sounded perfect!! I only ordered this one on Bolo because it could store numbers to memory. I'll have my mom use my old, 35 year old phone that I blew the dust off of instead.
