My last coffee maker finally gave up the ghost and I started looking for a decent coffee maker that wouldn't break the bank. This is what I bought, based on the price and the reviews. It's a good coffee maker. That's all I really need to know. It does its job without fuss. It's programmable, so it has more features than coffee makers that are only a little cheaper. And it will make 12 cups of coffee, which is a plus if you ever have visitors who like coffee or if you drink a lot yourself. It does its job, and it does it well.I have one quibble about this coffee maker, it's the built in 2 hour shut-off, which you apparently don't have any control over (Black & Decker says it's a safety feature). I's annoying. On my weekends I tend to start coffee when I get up, but I sometimes get busy and don't get to it right away. I couldn't tell you how many times I've gone in there to get a cup of coffee only to find out that the warming plate has turned off. Now, it's simple enough just to turn it back on, and I usually get in there before the coffee has gotten too cold. But the simple truth is I would rather be able to make a full pot of coffee that could sit in there for 8 - 10 hours than something I have to babysit, or have to make a couple of cups of coffee at a time.The shut-off "safety feature" is mostly annoying because I have no control over it. I understand Black & Decker probably thought of it as a liability issue (because people love to sue corporations when they themselves have done something stupid), but it does seem like there should be a larger window in which to keep your coffee warm, or least make it something that's variable up to a point. Sure, it makes sense to have the coffee maker shut off at some point, because people can and do forget to turn them off. But whoever set it at 2 hours is clearly someone who doesn't actually drink coffee. lol.Overall, though, I'm very happy with this coffee maker. I'm sure I'll buy another one when this one gives out.

I have been using this at least 3-4x a week since I bought it and it works great. The price was great too. Water capacity is up to 12 cups, but as I'm the only coffee drinker in my house I never make more than 6 cups max if I'm working from home. The cleaning is super easy, I can throw the basket and the pot in the dishwasher and they come out great and I have a simple coffee maker cleaner that cleans it internally as easy as making coffee. It also is small enough to not take up a ton of counter space.Unlike other brands that were actually more expensive, coffee doesn't taste burnt with this one. Definitely would buy it again if something happened to it and it has already paid for itself at least 5 times over.

So doing the math on my Starbucks spending made me realize that I lost my dang mind! Smacking myself back into reality I purchased this little gizmo as a stand-in until I figure out what espresso maker I want. And in less that a week, 1-friggin’ week this has paid for itself including the filters, creamer, & 2 bags of delicious coffee. It’s programmable and easy to use. What else do I need to add! I’m saving & happy with 2 cups of coffew for me and still some for my kid and hubby!!!

This works great. Programming is easy. Functions well. I just hate that it times out in two hours. Seems like sometimes I’m going for coffee and it turned off a half hour ago. But knowing that you just need to make sure you watch it and flip the power switch. Not sure why they do that. Maybe it’s some sort of regulation.

My old coffee maker crated--went to replace it but was cost prohibited. Got spoiled with instant coffee maker but my new Black and Decker makes better coffee at a fraction of the price. Especially like coffee waiting on me in morning--programmable is a very nice feature.

This coffee maker is great. It's a newer model than the Black and Decker that we had. The front panel is easy to read and program. The water level window is so much easier to read as it faces the front instead of the side of the water reservoir.Very pleased with this purchase.

I was not switching my coffee pot and I searched high and low for a new one. I didnt want anything fanvy and this is an upgraded rendition if our old one that lasted 15 years. I have had this pot now for almost 5 months and Im absolutely beyond happy with it. Hoping to get another 10 to 15 years out of this one!!!!

Buy another machine if you like strong coffee. This one works fine and fast enough, but I like my coffee stronger. Bought it from ProjectFarm recommendation and wish I got a slightly more expensive one
