This is the sixth Ghost Controls keypad we've purchased and they are great! It is wonderful to have such functional, sturdy, keypads available at our gates, inside and outside the gates, and they are a great value even though they are a bit pricey. They are very durable, fit the application perfectly, integrate precisely with the rest of Ghost Controller products, and seem to have very good battery life. They are super easy to use and make it easy to allow whomever we want to have access to our property. If we had more gates, we'd add more Ghost Controller keypads to them!

It all started about 5 years ago when we had a home built in South Florida. We installed a chain-link fence with a dual (2 gate) aluminum welded swing gate and wanted a reliable opener. After much research (friends, you-tube, Internet and Bolo reviews) we chose the GHOST Solar Power Dual Gate opener. We needed a way for guests, friends and workers to have access to our property. We needed a KEYPAD.Installation: was relatively simple. Following the instructions, both from the manual and videos made everything very easy. Programming is the key, but very simple to clone another remote. We can add many access numbers and can turn them off and on very simply.Appearance: This is a pretty basic looking keypad. There is some fade over time which is expected. The keypad lights up with the first touch so you can see the keys at night.Function: this has been very reliable for 5 years and still going strong.We have purchased two gate openers and two keypads. We love Ghost and would highly recommend it.

We installed the Ghost Controls heavy-duty dual solar gate opener system. Terrific setup for our needs. Excellent customer service. After installing solar, we decided to hard wire AC converter to charge battery for our application. Flexibility is nice and can always switch back to solar, if needed. Programming and controls are very well planned and install was straightforward.Depending on your application, you may need to fabricate a solution for post mounting brackets if your square posts are less than 4”. Would be very helpful if Ghost Controls had smaller bracket options, especially if gates are lightweight. System working flawlessly for us.Keypad purchased and installed to facilitate easier access for guests and contractors. Like other products, straightforward assembly and programming, with ability to customize for your application.Great value for the money.

this was a replace of an existing unit. It was shipped timely and worked when installed. Suggested design change - -- there are two tine screws in the bottom of the unit that hold it to the mounting bracket - move the screws to the side of the unit so they are easier to get in.
Works well.
An option to connect to permanent power would be an improvement.
Great. Except for needing ‘C’ cell batteries
The design, ruggedness and ease of installation are right up to the ghost controls standards (I’ve been impressed with everything I’ve purchased and installed from them: highly recommend for the price), however the fact that it needs two ‘C’ cell batteries seems ridiculous to me. It’s an obsolete battery size and they don’t come in a lithium equivalent. So, since it runs off 3V anyways I ended up converting it to use two 18650 lithium cells in parallel with a new holder. They fit great and it works fine still, except now it should work better in sub-zero temps here in Canada, unlike alkaline batteries. Plus I can pull them and recharge as necessary. That’s why 4 stars not 5.
Breaks in under a year
Bought in September, 10 months later it is not working. Changing batteries does nothing. Support and return windows are closed so it’s basically garbage
Better hope it works past 30 days

Works well but Initial setup trouble
Works well but some trouble with initial configuring. Took several attempts to setup master pin.
