Thin, crispy, non-gmo, gluten-free, perfectly salted and only 3 ingredients. Last 2 boxes ordered in July 2025 have a best before date of April 2026.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good value, great chips!
Excellent value, Excellent product! I'm very pleased with this purchase. The bags are full of chips that taste great, and the bags are of decent size. Compared with the plantain chips I usually buy, these are a better deal. The chips have a nice crunch, but aren't hard on the teeth. Lightly salted, but still plenty of salt to make them just right. I will definitely be buying again!
5.0 out of 5 stars So Delicious – A Healthier Swap for Chips!
These salted and roasted plantain chips are seriously addictive! They look like thinly sliced bananas, but don’t let that fool you—they’re not sweet at all. The flavor is perfectly salty and savory, making them an ideal replacement for regular potato chips. My 11-year-old even loves them and packs them in her lunchbox for school. It feels good knowing she’s snacking on something healthier. Highly recommend if you’re trying to make better choices without sacrificing taste!
4.0 out of 5 stars From a plantain chips connoisseur, I still prefer the Goja Brand
These are great, light airy and crisp. That said, where is the sweetness? I like to think I am a plantain chips connoisseur and cannot find the sweetness. That said, if you are new to plantain chips game, this is a great snack! The bags are also quite generous so enough to share.Make sure you share, don't finish the plantain chips alone LOL
5.0 out of 5 stars Yummy Sweet Crunchy Plantain Chips
Very tasty excellent product omg I love them way better than chips! Definitely will be reordering these many more times. Sweet and crunchy taste just like plantains.
3.0 out of 5 stars Mildly sweet, minimally salty, thin, crispy plantain chip
A healthy snack - I was hoping for a thicker, sweeter, and saltier plantain chip. But still a good option for those who are looking for a crispier, milder chip. Not for me!
5.0 out of 5 stars Light, Thin, Delicious. Not Greasy.
I tried a different brand of plantain chips (in a black bag) and while the taste was fine, I didn't like the thickness or the fact that they felt heavy and greasy. I felt bloated after eating them and could only eat a very few at a time.I was a bit hesitant to order four bags of these, but decided to take the risk and am very thankful I did. They are still quite filling so I have to be careful not to eat too many, however the texture is different - more thin and crispy - than the others I tried, however not too thin, they go amazing with my homemade guac, no breakage while scooping. They are lightly salted so they do stand alone, however I love to use them for dips.If you've never had green plantain chips, they are similar to a small, thick potato chip. The consensus here is that they are a little 'nutty' tasting compared to the average potato chip. They are not sweet or banana flavored, when still green plantains are rather starchy (like potatoes) and these in particular have been cooked wonderfully! My whole family has tried them now and even the ones who don't have to eat them for dietary reasons approve.
1.0 out of 5 stars Made with Palm Oil-- Not a good oil choice vs. coconut oil
Love the taste but then realized they are made with palm oil vs. coconut oil which is by far healthier. Will be changing back to coconut oil plantains. If they ever change their oil use, I'll be back...Coconut Oil Vs Palm Oil- Why is Coconut Oil Better? When analyzing palm oil and coconut oil and trying to understand which one is better, the first question that comes to mind is how different or similar they are. As far as similarities are concerned, both types of oil come from the fruit of palm trees. They are both tropical oils and are used for preparing food commercially. However, there is enough reason to argue that coconut oil is better than palm oil. What is Palm Oil?Extracted from oil palm fruit, palm oil is not the same as palm kernel oil. This oil is extracted from the pulp of oil palm fruit. The red palm oil gets its color due to the presence of carotenoids and is high in saturated fat content. The oil palm tree is believed to have originated in West Africa. Today, it is widely grown in not just Africa but also in Asia, and North and South America. Oil palms thrive in tropical regions with high heat and humidity that get abundant rainfall. Palm oil is widely used as vegetable oil. In fact, studies have shown that palm oil constitutes about 65 per cent of vegetable oil that is imported and exported internationally. What is Palm Oil used for?Palm oil is widely used as an ingredient in snacks, breads, margarines. Palm oil products also include cosmetics, candles and even detergents. Then why is palm oil is bad and why does it get so much bad press? The oil is sustainable and low-grade making it an easy choice for manufacturers. Owing to its property of remaining solidified at room temperature, palm oil is widely used in packaged food. Needless to say, palm oil is unhealthy and should be stayed away from at all means. You would be shocked to know that the palm fruit undergoes an in-depth refining process before it is turned into oil for consumption and other use. It is not just harmful for your health, but also detrimental to the environment as it creates a lot of toxic by-products. Palm oil could also cause skin irritation and must not be used in body products. It has absolutely no properties that could benefit the skin or your health.Palm Oil Facts- Humane Reasons to Stay AwayEvery year 50 million tons of palm oil gets produced to meet the demands, thus calling for widespread plantation across the world. Forests and lands are getting cleared at an alarming rate just to accommodate palm oil plantation. This has resulted in issues such as deforestation and climate change among others. In fact, palm oil production has also been linked to habitat degradation and endangering the ecosystem and its biodiversity. Studies have shown that hundreds of thousands of animals have been harmed, killed or displaced as a consequence of palm oil plantations. The industry has also been linked to hundreds of cases of human rights violation. In countries such as Indonesia and Malaysia, children are made to work in such plantations for a meager sum. The communities that otherwise depended on the forests and land for income have no alternative but to work in these plantations for survival.Make Healthier and Greener Choice- Choose Coconut OilDitch palm oil and opt for coconut oil instead. The saturated fat in coconut oil is healthy. When taken in controlled proportions in your diet, it has an array of health benefits. Coconut oil is also good for the skin and can be used to cure skin ailments of various kinds. Most importantly, coconut oil is not linked to harming the environment and disturbing the ecosystem. Make the better choice. Choose coconut oil over palm oil.
