Like comfy old shoes, a stethoscope is a comfortable friend that one is not eager to give up. These Littman 40001 ear pieces just arrived the day after ordering them. Made in USA by 3M. A bit difficult to remove the old broken one but I had no trouble putting the new one on. It looks identical to my soft original ear piece and I hope it will last as long. This is the same reference number 40001 that I see listed on the Littman website. The package contains total of 4 soft earpieces, 2 small and 2 large.

Needed to replace my original ones since they had cracked after years of use and cleaning then being stored for a little while. Bought a cheaper off brand one that didn’t work (should’ve known I should stick with name brand) these fit perfectly!

Just received these ear tips and love it! I bought a Littmann Class III stethoscope and had to change out the ear tips to the smaller size. The small sized grey ones that came with the stethoscope (the large size was already on the stethoscope) was very difficult to snap in. The customer service at Littmann wasn’t helpful at all. Was transferred twice and each person couldn’t give any tips on how to snap on the ear tips. Thinking I ruined the grey ones, i purchased these black ones and it snapped on almost right away. Had to use grippers and found that you need to grip and push only the lower half of the ear tips. Holding the entire ear tip or pushing from the upper soft area, did not do the job. So thumbs up and 5-stars for the quality and timely delivery, but thumbs down on the ease of popping on the ear tips and on the poor Littmann Customer Service.

My stethoscope is about 15 years old and these fit perfectly! So soft and the sound is great! Mine is a Classic ii SE. Great buy!
