When I adopted my cats twelve years ago I switched them to this food right away. They were understandably eating junk from the shelter and I didn’t want to continue that. They had no issue transitioning and they very quickly began to have a shiny coat and tons of energy. The food is pricey but I can count on one hand the amount of times we’ve needed the vet for any issues. It provides quality nutrition to all stages of life so I haven’t had to switch as they have gotten older. I like the protein content and the ingredients. The kibbles are a good size and there’s no strong smell like some other foods. They enjoy the taste as they’ve been on it for so long. I wouldn’t use any other brand for my pets as long as solid gold is available

I have fed this cat food to my two Maine Coon cats for two years, now. It was recommended to us by the breeder we purchased our cats from as she also feeds it to all of her cats as well. It has high quality protein, ingredients, and is grain free. We mix it with two other cat foods just as the breeder recommended and our cats love to eat it. Maine Coons being a larger breed of cat are known to inhale their food, so we were told to mix this smaller Solid Gold cat food with Royal Canin Maine Coon Crunchies and Life's Abundance All Stages Cat food. Our cats are very healthy, active, have beautiful coats, their gums are healthy, and have no digestive issues while eating this. This cat food kibble is very small and if I feed my Maine Coons only this by itself they will gobble it up whole instead of chewing as they should, which is why we mix it with other cat kibble. It helps them slow down while eating, so they don't throw it up. Our veterinarian also said this was a good cat food to have our cats on, so I will continue to feed this to my cats as long as it is made.

My cat has been on this food for a few years now. He does throw up occasionally but that happens with cats sometimes. What I dont care for is I used to pay $27 dollars for this and now it's $50. That is actually ridiculous.
