BG 245 Premium Diesel Fuel System Cleaner removes and dissolves deposits from the entire diesel injection system, including fuel injectors and combustion chambers. Diesel fuel is notorious for its instability. Without adequate fuel stability to control deposit formation, diesels are extremely sensitive to fuel breakdown. This can increase deposit buildup, leading to heavy exhaust emissions and power loss. In newer high pressure common rail (HPCR) direct injection engines, high temperatures and pressures can cause diesel fuel to breakdown into carbon deposits more quickly. The result is poor performance and potential engine damage. Current diesel fuel system cleaners remove deposits from the injector tip but fail to reach inside the injector itself. BG 245 removes and dissolves deposits from the entire diesel injection system, including inside fuel injectors and combustion chambers. BG 245 is especially effective in removing heavy deposits inside the injectors of high temperature, HPCR fuel delivery systems. Plus, BG 245 contains a fuel lubricity agent and cetane improver for cold starts. I used this directly after an oil change and an injector seal repair (had a leaky injector seal). there was an almost immediate difference in how the engine smoothed out, and engine noise became quieter. I also noticed a small gain in throttle response.The BG245 probably removed the carbon gunk that I saw on the injector I removed. I cleaned that one in ultrasonic, so I suppose the other 5 had gunk as well that the BG245 cleaned. Hopefully it cleaned out the fuel system as well , as it claims. I will be using a quart in the tank after every oil change as a preventative measure to keep the fueling system clean.

Highly recommended by the Dodge dealer. They charge more for it. I wish it had directions on the bottle. Lots of warnings about exposure but nothing about how much to add or ratio. Seems to make a good difference on performance and slight difference on mpg. Not sure how often to add. Maybe as often as the oil change. Don’t be confused, this is a fuel/diesel treatment.

1995 Ford F250 diesel truck. When the weather got chilly it started blowing water vapor smoke, being hard to crank over, and running rough. Odds are high water vapor in the gas tank condensed and got in the fuel. Except it didn't go away on the next tank of gas. Really didn't want to take it to a mechanic (don't have the money) gambled 50.00 on this stuff. Truck runs like new! I am 100% pleased with the results from this! I have used other cleaners before, and gotten fair results, but this was a night and day type result, drove less than 10 miles on the tank it was in, and it was running beautifully. I HIGHLY recommend it for grubby fuel systems!!

Got 64k on my 6.7 powerstroke. I have always run XL opti-line in my girl for lubricity, well we all know extra lube burns a little fat. I noticed some white smoke when busting the old hauler off. First sign of dirty injector tips on the 6.7 powerstroke's piezo injectors. How do I know? We have a few hundred of them in oil field of Alaska where I worked. Best cold weather or anywhere light duty diesel engine made since ford built there on diesel engine, the 6.7.Anyway the bg 245 works after about half a tank run through my truck.Works better if you add to a full tank so it prolongs the treatment. It also works better if you use that tank for short trips so it can soak in the areas that are carboned up. I have used everything this works the quickest. Worth every penny got my mileage back up to 20 plus I was down to around 18.
