Nice paper, will buy more again. Well made, perfect for practice and you can see tiny light lines which can help with calligraphy, they are not noticeable in art though.. Paper holds up well to lots of water/paint. Mount on silicone back mounting to get rid of wrinkly look when art is finished. Someone made comment on this and its part of working on rice paper, really it will go away when you mount the rice paper and hot iron it. Youtube has videos on how to do this.... This is a great paper used by my teacher.Note: There is a small welcome card from the company in the brown envelope with the paper, be sure to remove this so it doesnt wrinkle your paper ends. This almost happened as i took out the entire pile of paper, and put it back in.

I've done western watercolor for a while, and I'm used to using really heavy, toothy paper for that. When I decided I wanted to try Chinese watercolor and discovered it would Chinese paint just didn't work out on western paper, I got this with trepidation...I was sure it would be too delicate and thin. But it's not! It's 100% perfect for Chinese painting. The paper is really thin, but it's also really strong. Additionally, you get a lot more than you'd think on seeing the package--because it's so thin.

The image displays a roll of paper, but if you scroll through the images you will see that this product comes in an envelope and contains 30 sheets of a good quality/student grade paper. I purchased it for an art project and it worked extremely well. The paper appears delicate and somewhat sheer, but it is sturdy and worked well for block printing with acrylic paints. I wanted the sheerness so this worked well for me. I did mark on it with ink and brush and if you are not using it for writing you may want to know that the "rough" side of the paper absorbs less ink and allows for some "dry mark" making, while the smooth side absorbs and allows for wetter looking marks which "bleed" nicely into the paper. I would purchase again for my intended purpose.

Hey, cheap is cheap, and this is a large swath of inexpensive paper perfect for practicing with your chinese brush painting or calligraphy. Handles hand ground ink well, no feathering, buckles a bit with watercolor. Keep that in mind if youre making a painting for Aunt Zelda as a gift.

I got this for a Chinese calligraphy class, and it worked really well. I recommend using a felt mat underneath to get your characters nice and crisp.

When you first see the envelope, it looks like hardly anything in it, but then you see the paper is so thin and sheer, you understand how special it is.

This shipment came quickly. The Rice Paper arrived in the sturdy envelope , which I really like, however, the paper inside was DAMAGED on both the Upper and lower ends! the paper it was shipped with (RANGER YUPO PAPER, 8"x10", 5 sheets) was damaged also: its packaging was almost completely torn off and EACH ONE of the •very expensive at this price and size• sheets was full of crinkles and creases! Because this is plasticized paper, unlike the Teagas paper, I cannot iron out the damages.This damage does NOT seem to have occurred in shipping as the outer packaging and filler were intact; rather, this seems to be a storage/warehousing issue (or I was shipped TWO parcels of someone else's returned and damaged merchandise!) I'm very disappointed with this shipment.~Avis Patterson. 012020

Fine quality paper that is very well packaged to keep the pages in pristine shape until you need them. Highly recommend!
Changing price right after purchase
The price drop more than 30% immediately after purchase (the product haven’t even arrived)! Very disappointing shopping experience. Bolo is not willing to refund the price difference. Item is okay.
