Patented in 1934 by illy, pressurization is a preservation system in which the air in the tin is replaced by an inert gas at a pressure greater than that of the atmosphere. In this way, not only is the freshness of our coffee maintained, but its aroma is also enhanced. This product is good to my taste, not too bitter (I like light roasts) but still has a good flavor. Not too acidic either!

Illy is the best coffee in the world to me. Not over roasted like other chains. Ground to perfection and very fine for great tasting coffee that comes out smooth and bold. The canister stores nice and neat in any cupboard. You can't go wrong with Illy ground.

I recently purchased this ground coffee, and it has become my new favorite! The aroma is inviting right out of the bag, and the flavor is rich and robust. It brews a smooth cup with just the right amount of boldness and no bitterness. I've tried it in both my drip coffee maker and French press, and it delivers consistently excellent results. I’m not a decaf drinker and have always bought illy for the drip coffee maker. However, I’ve removed caffeine from my diet but I still love a cup of coffee. This fits the bill! It has wonderful flavor and I really have no clue I’m not drink the same ole illy coffee I’ve had for years! There isn’t an after taste and it is silky smooth just like the original. Illy coffee is always high priced and if you’re a heavy coffee drinker this wouldn’t be a first choice but as a light coffee drinker of a cup a day, this is fine. I do buy the 6 pack of the cans and occasionally if I want caffeine, I will mix the decaf and regular together 30/70 (decaf higher percentage). Being I’ve been off caffeine for a while that little bit is more than enough of a boost.
We love Illy coffee! Very rich taste .. even the decaf that my husband likes!
