Purchased for an 18 month old. The colors are as shown in the picture. Age range appropriate. The lid can be hard to secure for little ones without help. My 4 year old grandson, had difficulty with the lid . I would have liked to of seen more screws come in the pack. Due to choking hazardI would monitor small children around the screws.

My grandson is two and he loves this little tool box. It has small parts, but he isn't a child who puts stuff in his mouth, so it was fine for him. This is well stocked with items and perfect for him. He loves the little drill which works. It is small, so I don't think it would be good for older kids. But it is perfect for 2, 3, maybe 4 year olds.
