Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) is a perennial branched plant, usually conical in shape, 0.5–2 m high, rarely 2.5 m. The stem is leafy throughout its height, erect, brownish with a purple tint. Rhizome is multi-headed or short-creeping, thickened in the upper part. The leaves are green, bare or slightly pubescent, densely pubescent below, whitish and even silvery. The flowers are small, numerous, yellow or brownish. Baskets are erect, collected in a loose panicle inflorescence. Mugwort blooms from July to September. The fruit is the achene. The fruits ripen in July - October.

I’ve been using this Mugwort extract for over a year and it really helps me get better quality sleep. I’m one of those people who doesn’t get good sleep even if I’m sleeping for enough time, each night. One of the issues is that I don’t get enough REM sleep. This Mugwort Extract from Hawaii Pharm works great for this. I track my sleep each night with a Garmin fitness tracking watch and, when I take this extract before bed, my total amount of REM sleep is around double what it is, when I don’t take it. This gives me better sleep quality so I’m not as tired the next day.One side effect I will mention is an increase in dream activity. Not a huge increase but enough to be noticeable. This can be either good or bad depending on whatever the dreams are. I haven’t experienced many bad dreams (a couple over the course of the year, which is next to nothing) so it doesn’t really bother me. I just figured it’s something people should be aware of before taking it.

This is the little known secret for relaxation and vivid dreaming. I usually take the capsules but thought I would try these drops for a switch up.It’s doesn’t taste bad. Although I love the taste of earthy things so I don’t know if I’m the best at judging. My daughter (26) tried this too and loved it. Just take a half hr before bed and relax. Get ready to dream! You will also have better dream recall. I love to analyze my dreams and this helps to remember them.
