This is NOT under warranty in the US and itâs price-gouged!!! Itâs double the cost of what it should be ($799). I was deceived into getting it because nowhere does it mention you cannot have a warranty outside of Japan. Please do not buy this. I returned.

The camera came with a European charger and the box had all the instructions in Japanese, I returned because the box and the charger didnât match I live in USA and European charger do not work here, I would have had to buy a separate adapter to be able to charge the camera. I couldn't even use it because it didn't come charged and I feel disrespectful since it is an expensive product.

WOW!! Super Kamera!!
Nach meinen verschiedenen Digitalkameras (momentan ein Bridge-Modell - super Kamera, aber schon Ă€lter als 5 Jahre) musste eine neue her. Nach tagelangen Suchen und Vergleichen diverser Seiten und Berichte habe ich mich fĂŒr eines der Top-Modelle entschieden, es sind ja nur ein paar in der Auswahl gewesen : G7 X Mark II , RX100 III , Lumix DMC-Modelle .Vorab: Ich bin kein Profi-Knipser, sondern bin der ĂŒbliche Feiern-Feste-Sport-Ausflugs-Urlaubs-Fotograph. Ich hab auch ein sehr gutes Samsung-Handy mit MordsmĂ€Ăiger Kamera - aber die kommt nicht gegen eine Kompaktkamera an!Meine Kriterien fĂŒr eine neue Kamera waren:- klein, kompakt, leicht um sie ĂŒberall und schnell auch in der Jackentasche mit nehmen zu können - bis jetzt hab ich ein Bridge-Modell, das ist mir auf Dauer zu umstĂ€ndlich denn man hat immer eine kleine Kameratasche dabei.- sehr schnell einsatzbereit, max. 1,5 Sek bis zum ersten Bild- groĂer Bereich fĂŒr Lichtempfindlichkeit , also sehr gute QualitĂ€t im Schwachlichtbereich, z.B. Abends oder in der DĂ€mmerung- groĂer 1-Zoll-Typ CMOS-Sensor- mind. 15-20 Megapixel- wenn möglich Full HD 1.080p Movies- voreingestellte Effekte und Bildbearbeitungsmöglichkeiten, da ich nicht stundenlang am PC nacharbeiten will - ich lasse tatsĂ€chlich noch Bilder entwickeln!- wenn möglich gĂŒnstig (na ja das war Wunschdenken, der Mann ist halt von Haus aus sparsam ...)- nicht wichtig fĂŒr mich: NFC, WLANZur Kamera:Mein Bruder hat das gleiche Modell, ich habs mir mal fĂŒr ein paar Tage ausgeliehen und ausprobiert. Das wĂŒrde ich jedem empfehlen, denn die Kameras in der gleichen Preisklasse nehmen sich wohl nicht so viel dass es klare Sieger oder Verlierer gibt - da hat jeder persönliche Vorlieben.Sie ist jetzt seit 4 Wochen im Einsatz, ich hab schon unmengen an Fotos gemacht.- Im Zimmer: Super Aufnahmen, selbst die Bilder an Weihnachten wo nur Christbaumbeleuchtung vorlag.- Sehr gute SchĂ€rfe bei Bewegungen der Katzen und der Kinder, weil die ja nicht so lange stillhalten wie man willSelbst beim Skifahren gestochen scharfe Bilder!- im Freien: wahnsinnig tolle Aufnahmen, durch den manuellen Fokus kann man tolle Aufnahmen mit unscharfen Hintergrund machen- Ich finde die MenĂŒfĂŒhrung sehr intuitiv- der Touchscreen ist sehr gut bedienbar- Software (von Canonseite) installiert, beim Einstöpseln der Kamera ĂŒber USB werden Bilder automatisch in Wunsch-Verzeichnis kopiert - auch meine Kinder können so schnell und unkompliziert ihre Bilder auf den PC (und nachher ihren USB-STick) kopierenTrotz des Preises (bei mir knapp 600 Euro) bereue ich die Ausgabe nicht - natĂŒrlich ist die QualitĂ€t gegenĂŒber meiner einige Jahre alten Kamera sehr viel besser (das wĂ€ren die Konkurrenzmodelle wohl auch) - das hab ich aber auch deutlich so erwartet.Leider nimmt die Bilderflut momentan in beĂ€ngstigender Weise und fast exponentiell zu - aber es macht schon SpaĂ mit der G7 X Bilder zu schieĂen.GROSSES MANKO : ES WIRD KEINE BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG AUSGELIEFERT : unglaublich aber die Hersteller sparen bei einer 600 Euro Kamera die paar Euro fĂŒr ein ordentliche Anleitung!!! aber das ist ja mittlererweile bei allen so!! Also Suchen im Internet, und dann 120 Seiten ausdrucken??? Ich finde das einfach unmöglich und vom Service her das allerletzte - ich will die Kamera auspacken, und dann bei der nĂ€chsten kleinen Frage nicht erst das Handbuch im Internet aufrufen oder die pdf durchforsten!Trotzdem: Ich wĂŒrde die Kamera wieder kaufen und kann sie jedem und jederzeit empfehlen!
Enormt bra bilder
Jag tappade min trogna Canon S120 i marken sÄ skÀrmen sprack för ett tag sedan. Jag anvÀnde den i över 7 Är. TyvÀrr kom aldrig nÄgon uppföljare till S120 sÄ jag behöll den i sÄ mÄnga Är. Men nu blev jag tvungen att köpa en ny kamera. Och jag var ute efter en kamera som var lika liten som S120 men gav lika bra bildkvalitet. Mitt val föll pÄ G7X mark 2, mark 3 Àr alldeles för dyr. StorleksmÀssigt Àr den i princip lika stor som S120 men bara lite tjockare och vÀger lite mer, men kan med Canons original-vÀska ÀndÄ enkelt bÀras i livremmen nÀr jag Àr ute och reser eller bara vill ha en liten kamera med mig. Bildkvalitén Àr fantastiskt bra, betydligt bÀttre Àn S120, faktiskt förvÄnar det mig hur mycket bÀttre bilder det blir i jÀmförelse med S120. Och dess mörkeregenskaper Àr fantastiska, den kan ta bilder i mörka rum utan blixt som blir fascinerande bra. Om nÄgot negativt ska sÀgas sÄ Àr det nog att blixten kÀnns lite plastig nÀr den poppar upp, men den gör ett bra jobb och lyser utan problem upp stora omrÄden. Jag köpte ett 64 Gb minneskort och med den kan jag ta över 7000 bilder i största JPEG-fil valet. Varje bild blir ungefÀr 7 Mb stor. Det blir ocksÄ över 2 timmars film i 1080P med 60 bilder/s. Jag anvÀnder enbart autolÀget nÀr jag tar bilder som glad amatör och jag Àr helt förundrad over hur bra bilder den tar utan att jag överhuvudtaget behöver anstrÀnga mig. Jag var ute efter en liten-liten lÀtt kamera som sköter automatiken men ÀndÄ tar enormt bra bilder, och det precis vad jag fick med denna kamera.
Eccezionale sostituta della mia Reflex
Nella mia vita da fotografo (assolutamente amatoriale), sono passato alternativamente da Reflex a compatta (sia a pellicola che digitale): mi stufavo del peso e del cambio obiettivi delle Reflex ma le compatte erano assolutamente insoddisfacenti per prestazioni e qualitĂ (e quindi tornavo alla Reflex). Dopo aver regalato a mia figlia la reflex, l'alternativa era comprare un'altra Reflex o passare ad una compatta di qualitĂ . Complice un imminente viaggio e non volendo come al solito portarmi dietro uno zaino di materiale, dopo una lunga scelta, ho deciso per questa Canon. La qualitĂ Ăš immediatamente percepibile al tatto: rispetto ad altre compatte, il peso, i materiali, la disposizione dei tasti e delle ghiere sono su un altro pianeta. Ottimo l'obiettivo (1.8 di luminositĂ ) anche se non Ăš una superzoom (ma a me serviva cosĂŹ).Da verificare, nel medio periodo, se rimpiangerĂČ la mancanza del mirino per l'inquadratura.Nella confezione troviamo solo il corpo macchina, un laccetto da polso, batteria e caricabatteria, un piccolo manuale con le istruzioni di base. Il manuale vero e proprio bisogna scaricarlo dal sito Canon: le funzioni sono una quantitĂ impressionante, sto ancora studiandolo....Consigliata? Certamente si se state cercando questa tipologia di macchina fotografica.Piccolo suggerimento: come custodia ho acquistato la Case-Logic TBC-403. Ci sta perfettamente e si puĂČ mettere in cintura.Al ritorno dal viaggio magari aggiornerĂČ con la prova "sul campo"...------- Aggiornamento dopo il viaggio (a New York):Confermo tutte le ottime impressioni che ora ho potuto verificare sul campo. Maneggevolissima, me la portavo sempre dietro (ottima la custodia Case-Logic citata sopra). QualitĂ di immagine superlativa (molte foto le ho registrate sia in jpg che in raw). Durata della batteria tutto sommato ottima: arrivavo a sera tranquillamente e solo un giorno ho dovuto sostituirla nel pomeriggio (ma da New York sono tornato con oltre 1.600 foto e svariati filmati). Come batteria secondaria ho acquistato una Patona (presa perĂČ su Bolo.de); modello nero, nuovo tipo che viene riconosciuta senza messaggi d'errore dalla macchina fotografica.Particolari gli effetti e i programmi speciali: alcuni veramente fatti bene (cielo notturno con e senza scie delle stelle, effetto miniatura), altri troppo "invadenti" ed utilizzabili forse solo occasionalmente. Molto comodo il display orientabile ma, e questo rimane un punto critico, chi Ăš abituato al mirino farĂ sempre un pĂČ fatica ad abituarsi alla sua ... assenza.Voto finale: 9+ (solo perchĂš ci sarĂ sempre spazio per migliorare in futuro).

Ich hab auch ein sehr gutes Samsung-Handy mit MordsmĂ€Ăiger Kamera - aber die kommt nicht gegen eine Kompaktkamera an!Meine Kriterien fĂŒr eine neue Kamera waren:- klein, kompakt, leicht um sie ĂŒberall und schnell auch in der Jackentasche mit nehmen zu können - bis jetzt hab ich ein Bridge-Modell, das ist mir auf Dauer zu umstĂ€ndlich denn man hat immer eine kleine Kameratasche dabei.- sehr schnell einsatzbereit, max. 1,5 Sek bis zum ersten Bild- groĂer Bereich fĂŒr Lichtempfindlichkeit , also sehr gute QualitĂ€t im Schwachlichtbereich, z.B. Abends oder in der DĂ€mmerung- groĂer 1-Zoll-Typ CMOS-Sensor- mind. 15-20 Megapixel- wenn möglich Full HD 1.080p Movies- voreingestellte Effekte und Bildbearbeitungsmöglichkeiten, da ich nicht stundenlang am PC nacharbeiten will - ich lasse tatsĂ€chlich noch Bilder entwickeln!- wenn möglich gĂŒnstig (na ja das war Wunschdenken, der Mann ist halt von Haus aus sparsam ...)- nicht wichtig fĂŒr mich: NFC, WLANZur Kamera:Mein Bruder hat das gleiche Modell, ich habs mir mal fĂŒr ein paar Tage ausgeliehen und ausprobiert. Das wĂŒrde ich jedem empfehlen, denn die Kameras in der gleichen Preisklasse nehmen sich wohl nicht so viel dass es klare Sieger oder Verlierer gibt - da hat jeder persönliche Vorlieben.Sie ist jetzt seit 4 Wochen im Einsatz, ich hab schon unmengen an Fotos gemacht.- Im Zimmer: Super Aufnahmen, selbst die Bilder an Weihnachten wo nur Christbaumbeleuchtung vorlag.- Sehr gute SchĂ€rfe bei Bewegungen der Katzen und der Kinder, weil die ja nicht so lange stillhalten wie man willSelbst beim Skifahren gestochen scharfe Bilder!- im Freien: wahnsinnig tolle Aufnahmen, durch den manuellen Fokus kann man tolle Aufnahmen mit unscharfen Hintergrund machen- Ich finde die MenĂŒfĂŒhrung sehr intuitiv- der Touchscreen ist sehr gut bedienbar- Software (von Canonseite) installiert, beim Einstöpseln der Kamera ĂŒber USB werden Bilder automatisch in Wunsch-Verzeichnis kopiert - auch meine Kinder können so schnell und unkompliziert ihre Bilder auf den PC (und nachher ihren USB-STick) kopierenTrotz des Preises (bei mir knapp 600 Euro) bereue ich die Ausgabe nicht - natĂŒrlich ist die QualitĂ€t gegenĂŒber meiner einige Jahre alten Kamera sehr viel besser (das wĂ€ren die Konkurrenzmodelle wohl auch) - das hab ich aber auch deutlich so erwartet.Leider nimmt die Bilderflut momentan in beĂ€ngstigender Weise und fast exponentiell zu - aber es macht schon SpaĂ mit der G7 X Bilder zu schieĂen.GROSSES MANKO : ES WIRD KEINE BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG AUSGELIEFERT : unglaublich aber die Hersteller sparen bei einer 600 Euro Kamera die paar Euro fĂŒr ein ordentliche Anleitung!!! aber das ist ja mittlererweile bei allen so!! Also Suchen im Internet, und dann 120 Seiten ausdrucken??? Ich finde das einfach unmöglich und vom Service her das allerletzte - ich will die Kamera auspacken, und dann bei der nĂ€chsten kleinen Frage nicht erst das Handbuch im Internet aufrufen oder die pdf durchforsten!Trotzdem: Ich wĂŒrde die Kamera wieder kaufen und kann sie jedem und jederzeit empfehlen!
Enormt bra bilder
Jag tappade min trogna Canon S120 i marken sÄ skÀrmen sprack för ett tag sedan. Jag anvÀnde den i över 7 Är. TyvÀrr kom aldrig nÄgon uppföljare till S120 sÄ jag behöll den i sÄ mÄnga Är. Men nu blev jag tvungen att köpa en ny kamera. Och jag var ute efter en kamera som var lika liten som S120 men gav lika bra bildkvalitet. Mitt val föll pÄ G7X mark 2, mark 3 Àr alldeles för dyr. StorleksmÀssigt Àr den i princip lika stor som S120 men bara lite tjockare och vÀger lite mer, men kan med Canons original-vÀska ÀndÄ enkelt bÀras i livremmen nÀr jag Àr ute och reser eller bara vill ha en liten kamera med mig. Bildkvalitén Àr fantastiskt bra, betydligt bÀttre Àn S120, faktiskt förvÄnar det mig hur mycket bÀttre bilder det blir i jÀmförelse med S120. Och dess mörkeregenskaper Àr fantastiska, den kan ta bilder i mörka rum utan blixt som blir fascinerande bra. Om nÄgot negativt ska sÀgas sÄ Àr det nog att blixten kÀnns lite plastig nÀr den poppar upp, men den gör ett bra jobb och lyser utan problem upp stora omrÄden. Jag köpte ett 64 Gb minneskort och med den kan jag ta över 7000 bilder i största JPEG-fil valet. Varje bild blir ungefÀr 7 Mb stor. Det blir ocksÄ över 2 timmars film i 1080P med 60 bilder/s. Jag anvÀnder enbart autolÀget nÀr jag tar bilder som glad amatör och jag Àr helt förundrad over hur bra bilder den tar utan att jag överhuvudtaget behöver anstrÀnga mig. Jag var ute efter en liten-liten lÀtt kamera som sköter automatiken men ÀndÄ tar enormt bra bilder, och det precis vad jag fick med denna kamera.
Eccezionale sostituta della mia Reflex
Nella mia vita da fotografo (assolutamente amatoriale), sono passato alternativamente da Reflex a compatta (sia a pellicola che digitale): mi stufavo del peso e del cambio obiettivi delle Reflex ma le compatte erano assolutamente insoddisfacenti per prestazioni e qualitĂ (e quindi tornavo alla Reflex). Dopo aver regalato a mia figlia la reflex, l'alternativa era comprare un'altra Reflex o passare ad una compatta di qualitĂ . Complice un imminente viaggio e non volendo come al solito portarmi dietro uno zaino di materiale, dopo una lunga scelta, ho deciso per questa Canon. La qualitĂ Ăš immediatamente percepibile al tatto: rispetto ad altre compatte, il peso, i materiali, la disposizione dei tasti e delle ghiere sono su un altro pianeta. Ottimo l'obiettivo (1.8 di luminositĂ ) anche se non Ăš una superzoom (ma a me serviva cosĂŹ).Da verificare, nel medio periodo, se rimpiangerĂČ la mancanza del mirino per l'inquadratura.Nella confezione troviamo solo il corpo macchina, un laccetto da polso, batteria e caricabatteria, un piccolo manuale con le istruzioni di base. Il manuale vero e proprio bisogna scaricarlo dal sito Canon: le funzioni sono una quantitĂ impressionante, sto ancora studiandolo....Consigliata? Certamente si se state cercando questa tipologia di macchina fotografica.Piccolo suggerimento: come custodia ho acquistato la Case-Logic TBC-403. Ci sta perfettamente e si puĂČ mettere in cintura.Al ritorno dal viaggio magari aggiornerĂČ con la prova "sul campo"...------- Aggiornamento dopo il viaggio (a New York):Confermo tutte le ottime impressioni che ora ho potuto verificare sul campo. Maneggevolissima, me la portavo sempre dietro (ottima la custodia Case-Logic citata sopra). QualitĂ di immagine superlativa (molte foto le ho registrate sia in jpg che in raw). Durata della batteria tutto sommato ottima: arrivavo a sera tranquillamente e solo un giorno ho dovuto sostituirla nel pomeriggio (ma da New York sono tornato con oltre 1.600 foto e svariati filmati). Come batteria secondaria ho acquistato una Patona (presa perĂČ su Bolo.de); modello nero, nuovo tipo che viene riconosciuta senza messaggi d'errore dalla macchina fotografica.Particolari gli effetti e i programmi speciali: alcuni veramente fatti bene (cielo notturno con e senza scie delle stelle, effetto miniatura), altri troppo "invadenti" ed utilizzabili forse solo occasionalmente. Molto comodo il display orientabile ma, e questo rimane un punto critico, chi Ăš abituato al mirino farĂ sempre un pĂČ fatica ad abituarsi alla sua ... assenza.Voto finale: 9+ (solo perchĂš ci sarĂ sempre spazio per migliorare in futuro).
