Very handy size. I use them to hold miscellaneous chopped vegetables that I need to add to stir fry, omelets, soups, etc. I also find them a convenient size for snacks. Dishwasher safe, seem very sturdy.

UPDATE! When I got home from work today I found an unexpected package on my doorstep. It was from Anchor Hocking and it had a replacement bowl for the one that was so badly chipped! I am thrilled. It was very carefully wrapped and now my set is complete! Thank you Anchor Hocking!These glass bowls with covers are great! They are a perfect size for single serving storage with the cover. They are just what I was looking for. Unfortunately when I received them one of the glass bowls was chipped all around the edge, after I cleaned up the bloody mess from having stepped on a shard of glass that fell out of the box, I contacted anchor hocking as instructed and I never received a response, the bowls and lids are great, they come through dishwasher perfectly and are a nice weight.

The bowls were as promised. I do suggest to the sender that the packaging is built better. 2 bowls had sizable chips taken out because of poor packaging. They need to make sure the security of the bowls can put up with the shipping roughness.

Just what I expected using them in the past
Glass bowls are great in the kitchen but the lids aren't tight.

Perfect size for Jello
I ordered these cups for making Jello and 4 of them are the perfect size. It is great to have covers so they can be stacked in the fridge. The covers do not provide a good liquid tight seal, but are good enough to prevent a splash getting out when carrying them around. They are perfect for my Jello needs.

I bought them for cream caramels. Regrettably, the first time I used them, one of them broke on contact with the caramel. How is that bake safe?
