    I'm using one of these boards to power a Peltier thermoelectric cooler, and so far it's worked great and is very simple to use. I look forward to utilizing this for a number of future projects.Pros:They weren't kidding about 24amp rating, both the screw terminals and the connecting solder on the bottom appear more than adequate to handle 24amp loads.Overall the board is very well constructed and easy to use.Cons:It doesn't come with any standoffs and the connections on the bottom of the unit consist mainly of thick, exposed lines of solder that could be prone to short out if left directly on a conductive surface. This isn't so much a criticism of the product itself (there probably isn't a better way to make this that would avoid this issue), but anyone looking to buy should know that you need to have some way to support the board so the contacts on the bottom don't come into contact with a conductive surface (in my case, I just 3D printed a simple cover for it which solved the problem).Suggestions for the manufacturer:It would be nice if there was a version of this (or perhaps a separate, standalone product) available that also had connections for PCI-E power and/or Molex/SATA power. For my uses I need mostly 12v connections, but a standard 24pin ATX connector only has two.Overall great product, and would definitely recommend for anyone who needs an easy to use breakout for an ATX power adapter.

    I have used several of these little breakout boards and they really get the job done well.I was in a hurry, so just grabbed whatever cheap material I had laying around and did a quick assembly using wood and plexiglass for the case.Amazing how a simple breakout board can transform an older ATX power supply into a powerful 12 volt bench power supply. I only use 12 volts, but you can also hook up the 5 volt and the 3 volt lines too if that is what you need.Never had a problem with any of these breakout boards and several are still in use to this day after 3+ years.I have used these breakout boards in various applications:CB radioAmateur radioLinear amplifierRV 12 inverterRV electric jack power supplyAnd the list goes on and on and on!BTW, depending upon which ATX power supply you are using, the power coming out of these units is exceptionally clean. No splatter or harmonics, etc. I have had a linear amplifier pulling 30 amps at 12 volts through this breakout board and it had no problems at all even after hours and hours of use.Disclaimer: Do NOT attempt to assemble or create a bench power supply using an ATX computer power supply unless you have lots of experience and know what you are doing. And NEVER open the cover an ATX power supply unless you have lots of experience and are at an expert level. High voltage can kill you!

    This ATX breakout board provides all the outputs I need in a nice, easy-to-use package. It works flawlessly each and every time. I'll be getting another, but this one is going into permanent use in a power supply project. I combined like voltages (12v, 5v, .3.3v) into respective terminal blocks (with a ground block of course so I can have a 3 output, metered supply. I installed 8-amp fuses on each block. And yes, I checked to verify that my power supply (and nearly every other one made) has common rails. It's always good to have a spare which is why I'm ordering again. Fantastic product!

    I was cautious because it was an inexpensive board. That caution was unwarranted. This thing delivers. The soldering joints on the bottom were perfect. Not at all what you see typically with many Chinese mass-produced items.I got this because I wanted to do some prrojects with modular ATX power supplies. I’m able to disconnect the unnecessary cables so that I have just the 24-pin bracket in place. I can switch the power supply to another tool without issue and the power supply doesn’t have to be damaged or altered. And it’s nice to have the option to put the ATX power supply back in a computer if needed.I plan to buy multiple of these so I can experiment without worrying about damaging the power supply. The creations stay intact, and you have the option of easily replacing the power supply or detaching it for use on other projects. If you like this idea, you’ll just need one of these per creation.I would caution when disconnecting the harness from the device. It felt like it might crack in half without care. This doesn’t seem to be a problem once the board is mounted to something.The four-star review is because it seems the board itself could be a bit more durable. Other than that, there are no negatives that I have found.Thanks for your time.LLAP

    This little board worked out great for me. I built a small box to enclose the PC power supply and mount banana connectors to access the various voltages and ground. Short wires from the board to the banana jacks. The board has 4 holes to be able to mount it inside an enclosure if that is what you are doing like I did. Be sure to leave openings for the power supply to stay cool with the internal fan.

    In addition to testing old PC components, it has helped me identify a broken wire for an automotive reverse camera, and countless other 12vDC devices. The voltages are clearly marked at each contact point, making it a good teaching tool. Good construction quality.I RECOMMEND MOUNTING IT TO A NON-CONDUCTIVE SURFACE AS SOON AS IT ARRIVES AT YOUR DOOR. Unmounted, it's easy to inadvertently short.

    Exactly what I needed! It allowed me to utilize an old PSU as a bench power supply without having to cut any wires on the PSU itself. Therefore, if I'm ever in need of my PSU again, I can easily disconnect it. With a little tinkering and desoldering I removed the switch and LED's from the board and wired up ones on a panel I made. This clever little board made the process super simple. I didn't even need to connect a power resistor to force a load. Works beautifully!
