I tried peanut burfi (cake) and it tastes delicious.

We use this in cooking Indian and Latin food, and in our baking now too. Adds wicked depth to dishes without a lot of sweetness, and give a molasses type kick to apples and other fruit. Grateful to be able to get it delivered to us in rural NY without a trip to a major city. Awesome!

Definitely better than regular sugar, even "organic" sugar. Jaggery is suppose to be the raw sugar from the cane with no separation from the molasses, so much like actual raw honey, contains more nutrients than normal sugars. Everyone should be using jaggery over any normal sugars sold in nearly every grocery store. However, I've definitely had better jaggery than this. Wonder if it's been processed?
