HOTSTART TPS models, are a coolant preheaters developed to maintain optimal temperatures for diesel and gas engines, construction equipment, trucks, heavy duty mobile equipment, marine and industrial applications. HOTSTART engine heaters maintain an engine's operating temperature during downtime and serve as an excellent cold weather or emergency starting aid while eliminating needless idling. HOTSTART TPS models circulate heated coolant using the thermosiphon principle, a method of passive heat exchange which circulates a fluid without the necessity of a mechanical pump. HOTSTART TPS engine heaters provide even heat distribution resulting in reduced engine wear, quick start-ups and reduced emissions. The compact design is ideal for locations that require minimal mounting space. Specs: Heating Element: Incoloy 800 Enclosure: IP41 Resists corrosion Fluid Capacity: 0.11 gal (0.42 L) Maximum Pressure: 90 psi (620 kPa) Inlet/Outlet Plumbing: 0.625” (15.9 mm) Tank Material: Polyphenylensulfid PPS UL-C/US listed CE compliant. The Kim Hotstart coolant heater arrived very quickly, was in perfect condition when it arrived and was very easily installed. I just hate having a cold generator engine start up at ambient temperature and go to running speed in about 3 seconds. This coolant heater solves that issue very affordably.
