I trust them, and they analyzed several brands. Lead is very toxic (especially bad for children,) so I don't need that in my spices. Besides the toxicity, nefarious middlemen put lead in cinnamon to make it weigh more while still tasting sweet - they are out to cheat me! This brand was safe, so I tried it. The cinnamon taste is excellent, and I feel a lot better. I'll buy it again.

Like many of the other reviewers I read the Consumer Reports magazine report on toxic lead in many spices. The SADAF brand had one of the lowest levels of lead in cinnamon. Lead is extremely harmful for children and adults. The Sadaf Cinnamon was tasty and competitively priced when I compared in against other brands. From now on I will always be buying Sadaf.

Yes, that’s right! There is an article in the Jan/Feb 2025 issue of Consumer Reports magazine about lead in cinnamon. What? I was aghast! I use a lot of cinnamon on my food every day. Sadaf cinnamon has the least amount of lead in it (less than 0.16 ppm). So, now I can eat cinnamon to my heart’s content. It smells and tastes wonderful!

Bought Sadat because of high Consumer Report rating for low contaminants in processing. Bonus: best tasting cinnamon I’ve ever bought in bulk. Won’t buy anywhere else and now, also stocking up all my spices from Sadaf. Lots of variety and fresher than most. I use lots of cinnamon, including daily, in coffee. Much happier with this product than any other I’ve tried.
