I have tried every single eyeshadow primer on the market from drugstore to high-end. (Elf, about face, NARS, hourglass, urban decay, milani, haus labs, NYX, Too faced) I have mature oily eyelids. This primer is excellent for cream eyeshadows or powder. It’s a supreme product. It goes on clear. I put a small amount on each eye and rub it in until it’s no longer visible. I allow it to drive for about a minute or two. I apply my eyeshadow without it skipping or dragging. It intensifies the colors. Since eyeshadows these days are so pigmented it’s not something that I was looking for or worried about, but it’s a nice added bonus of this product. It doesn’t feel sticky and holds my shadow all day. There is a lot of product for the price and I can see it lasting for a very long time!! Worth every penny!

The only primer that seems to work with my stubborn eyes. I have hooded lids and these keep my eyeliner and eye shadow looking fresh all day. Does not smudge. Just make sure it dries completely before applying makeup.

I’ve tried a few different primers, and this one is my keeper. I use black eyeshadow as my eyeliner applied with a brush for that perfect Smokey eye us GenXers love, and this stuff helps it stay put all day! My eyes are oily, so this stuff is amazing

Have tried several primers in the past. This is the BEST BY FAR. Even with oily eyelids, eye shadow remained intact from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Definitely a great find.

This has been a favorite eye shadow primer for a long time. Just a wee bit on my eyelids helps the shadow go on evenly and stay put all day. Also, it helps avoid creasing which can be a problem.Mac Eye Base goes on smoothly and doesn't feel slimy or sticky.

I bought some primer in Germany last fall, and it's about out. After reading reviews, I decided to try the MAC as I've been happy with their powder eye shadow. My routine is to put on the primer and let it dry while doing my hair. Then on to Bobbie Brown cream eye stick, dry for a couple minutes, then MAC powder eye shadow. With the German primer my eye make up lasted most of the day. MAC primer, gone by noon.
