This is an great hem prepping tool. Much easier than using a tiny metal ruler with a slide. Markings are up the ruler in both directions and have an aid for mitered corners. Very thin & lightweight. It saves a lot of time and effort to fold & press prep a hem. A must have sewing tool. This ruler has the most markings for versatile use compared to similar ones.

This item has several disadvantages. It is only made of a kind of cardboard. I think, I could have made it myself. Furthermore, it tends to collect fuzz, which gets on my nerves. On top of that it does not work properly, especially when you try to make a small hem. Because of its structur you hardly can adjust it, while you are ironing the fabric. That means it makes only sens when you have an absolutely straight hem. One more thing: it is a little bit to thick, so you have to iron one more time once you have removed the item. Otherwise the crease will not be flat enough.I shouldn't habe bought it. And it's much to expensive.Das war ein Fehlkauf. Das Lineal besteht nur aus einer Art Pappe. Aus der Rückseite eines Zeichenblocks könnte man so etwas leicht selber machen. Außerdem zieht es Fusseln an. Der größte Nachteil ist, dass man während des Bügelns den Stoff kaum noch justieren kann, d.h. es macht eigentlich nur Sinn, wenn der Saum sehr gerade ist und perfekt ausgeschnitten ist. Nur bei sehr breitem Saum ist es mir überhaupt von Nutzen. Außerdem ist es ein wenig zu dick, so dass ich für eine gute Bügelfalte noch einmal nachbügeln muss. Dass es nur in Inch ist, war leider nicht erwähnt, damit habe ich aber gerechnet.Es ist auf jeden Fall viel zu teuer.
