I selected these switches because they offer the most value and benefits at very reasonable price. Building a luxury level property requires so many selections and controls in today’s world can get very expensive. All the main switches in these home are smart switches, however, in bathrooms and powder rooms, there are so many controls now, that I try to make the fan/light switch easy; and this one is actually on the simple side. Here is the basic overview of features: 1. PIR will turn on the light when some walks into the room AND you can turn this feature off if you don’t want it. 2 You can set the timers easily with a turn of a hidden dial for duration of light and fan. 3. The intermittent fan feature is nice. The switch has nice overall shape, is simple looking with just two icon labeled buttons, and is solid white. The light is bright, but since we have so many other lights in our bathrooms, this light will be rarely used, which is good for us because the color temperature of the LED is on the cooler side, I’m guessing about 3500+. Lastly, all the wires are clearly labeled on the back of the switch and they are all long and flexible enough to make stuffing this switch back into the switch box somewhat easier (all multifunction switches are bigger and boxier).

Overall works great.Pros: The switch is a mechanical relay that provides a normal power to the lights and thus works best with LED or fluorescent lights. I had a motion switch that was solid state and some fluorescent lights kept burning out. I've used this motion detector for a year with the same lights and none have burned out. Sensitivity is very good including at a high angle - it will detect at a reasonable distance even when approaching from the side. Also, sensitivity adjustment works well, so can tune it for the room. Manual override is straight forward and easy to use.Cons: It is big and thus needs a fair amount of space in the electrical box and it needs 4 wires. though this was not a problem for me as I have large box with a neutral. The one defect I see is that sometimes the light stays on longer than it should. I'll sometimes see it on 1/2 hour after the room has been empty when it is set to go off after 10 minutes. It does this a few percent of the time ( < 5%) and always works normally after it senses someone again.

Most of the motion sensor light switches lack an easy to access switch to keep the light on for longer periods of time. I like the motion sensor functionality for my garage as I typically need to grab something from the freezer, get in my vehicle, or arrive with my hands full. I like the automatic on feature for those short durations and I don't have to worry about turning the light off after. However, sometimes I am working in my garage and sitting in an area that the sensor is blocked from. With my previous motion sensor, I had to get out a screwdriver to slide a small switch to activate the light to always on. This is much easier to simply slide the switch to "on". I haven't had to use the "off" feature, but I suppose that could be handy if you don't want the light to automatically turn on during a certain time. Works perfectly and changes from motion to always on with the slide of a switch. An added bonus is that a typical square faceplate fits perfectly, but the reason for 4 stars is because it doesn't come with a faceplate. It wasn't an issue as the switch I replaced had one, but it's annoying to have to purchase that separately.

I purchased these switches because I needed to control a light and exhaust fan in a couple of bathrooms. The existing double switch was in a single gang box in a cement wall, so expanding that to a double gang box was not an option. The switches were easy to install and "program." I set the light to come on automatically with motion, as the bathrooms do not have windows for natural light, so folks not familiar with them had to search around for the switches. I set the fan to be turned on manually. Both the light and the fan turn off automatically after 5 or so minutes of no movement. I'm quite satisfied with the operation of the switches.

This is the 2nd motion sensor switch I've purchased and installed in the last 7 years. The old switch just decided to stop working a couple months ago, so I got this as a replacement. This motion sensor switch is perfect in my attached garage. The light switch in my garage is in the most awkward spot. It's 2 feet away from the door opening and down 2 steps. Not something you want to try and find when it's pitch black and you can't see a thing!Instead of risking my life to go into my garage of darkness, I installed this motion sensor switch. It's great! The light comes on whenever I open the door and I never have to remember to turn it off. You simply set the length of time you want the light to stay on (15 seconds to 30 minutes) and you're good to go. The light also comes on as I drive my car into the garage so there is plenty of light for me to see when I get out of my car.You can also override the automatic settings if you need the light longer than your standard settings. You just slide the switch from Auto to Manual. Just remember to change it back or the light will be left on all day and night!I live in MN so we have pretty extreme temperatures (below zero to hot/humid) and this switch has worked well in all conditions. It can be a little slow in the subzero temps in the winter, but I haven't noticed any major issues aside from that.Like another reviewer said, the instructions say that it needs a NEUTRAL wire. Make sure you have a neutral wire in the box where this will be installed or this switch won't work for you. It took about 10 minutes to install and a minute or two to adjust the sensor settings.

Timer doesn't work as so many have stated. Light goes off at 13 seconds - if you move the timing adjustment it never shuts off. The first 4 marks all yield 13 seconds - go past that and won't shut off on any mark past 4th. Tested it >20 times. Many report exact same issue. Bolo should stop selling this!!!
