There are several sources for pycnogenol, but this one if from the original and from my experience, the most potent. Viva Labs Pycnogenol is sourced from a protected area of pine forest in southwestern France, grown exclusively under strict French forestry legislation for consumer quality and safety. It promises to be preservative and herbicide free.I've never experienced results this good from pycnogenol sourced from grape seeds. Don't waste your money there. Stay with Viva's pine bark from Les Landes de Gascogne forest in southwestern France.It's only been 10 days, but already I've noticed a huge improvement in my skin. It's still soft, but tougher. I'm not bruising as easily nor is my cat Betty tearing my up when we play. Even the bougainvillea got trimmed without me looking like I'd lost the war. If Viva's pycnogenol is doing this much good on the outside where I can see the improvement, how much good is it doing on the inside? Yep, I'm happy.Besides promoting healthy skin, pycnogenol is also clinically shown to support cardiovascular, circulatory, joint health and more. It's a free radical scavenger, thus a great anti-inflammatory.

There are plenty of people who have already googled and written reviews based on the research they've done, so no need in my being redundant.Most supplements take some time to start showing effects, but this one has me hooked already. Why? I was diagnosed with unstable angina back in 1998. The heart is in great shape, but for no rhyme or reason, usually in the middle of the night, the veins will involuntarily constrict, waking me up with what I can only imagine a heart attack would feel like. I can go months and months without an attack and then turn around and have one 2-3 nights in a row.Since they asked me to review this product and give my honest feedback, I'd been taking Viva Labs Pycnogenol for about 10 days (one a day) when I had an attack in the middle of the night again. I took one of the capsules, popped it apart and dumped the powder straight into my mouth. I'd guess that within a minute's time, the attack was over....I've since ordered the 60 count bottle as this will be a regular supplement for me in the future. Please keep in mind that we are all unique and results will vary.Thanks Viva Lab ---- and I'd give it 5 stars if it didn't have rice flour as a filler.

I am a retired pharmacist, having worked in the pharmaceutical industry. My approach to personal heath has been to follow the preventative route i.e. be proactive. A goal has been to ensure that all the systems of the body are maintained in a good condition as I age. “You want to AVOID taking the car (the body) to the garage (meaning a Doctor) for repairs”. My interest has always been to seek Nutritional supplements of very good quality, in terms of benefits and well as the quality of manufacture, with preference for Vegetarian products. Nutritional supplements are not as well-regulated, (or minimally regulated) as Prescription Drugs. Be careful what you choose.Consequently, I take several carefully selected supplements daily as a part of the approach to maintaining good health. This product is a part of the Pill Box of Supplements. I am very satisfied with this approach and it has helped me significantly. Best wishes to the reader for long life and good health.

True Pycnogenol is not easy to find....and this is the real deal in a proven therapeutic dose. Great value too!Don't be misled by supplements labeled 'pine bark extract' as Pycnogenol only comes from French Maritime Pine Bark (think of it like the difference between real Champagne from the Champagne region and sparkling wines a la method de champagne....there's some good stuff but the real deal has innate properties that just can't be duplicated!)The list of conditions that research has proven Pycnogenol to be effective for is growing daily: vascular health, vein support, migraines, collagen builder, reduces inflammation, improves immune system, diabetes sugar control, hearing & balance issues and quite a few more.....like I said, the list is growing!If your'e looking to add Pycnogenol to your supplement arsenal, give Viva Naturals a try. I'm a picky buyer with food allergies (gluten & soy) as well as I avoid binders and fillers like magnesium stearate- AND I want good value for my money: Viva Naturals delivers on all!

I've been taking this for a couple months now and haven't really noticed any difference in my spider veins or circulation in general. I've decided to stop using this as I don't feel that personally for me pine bark extract is safe to take long-term in such high concentrations. To be fair, I understand that caffeine can be a major cause of spider and varicose veins and I admit I use coffee and yerba mate pretty regularly although I am trying to use less. All that being said, my approach to healing my circulation and spider veins from now on is going to be more focused on less caffeine and increasing the amount of kasha (roasted buckwheat) that I eat. Kasha, and apples are good sources of rutin which helps with circulation.Other things that will help are exercise, stretching, eating less salt, removing any processed foods from your diet, quitting alcohol and smoking (anything), foods high in vitamin E (sunflower seeds), foods high in vitamin C (lemons, amla, oranges, etc.) and spices like ginger and cayenne.

I have been on HRT for 7 months. It elevated some symptoms, so I am not debilitated, but I still didn’t feel good. I wondered if my body had excess cortisol. Lots of debate whether cortisol fatigue exists with the literature. My doctor convinced me there wasn’t a test - although I’ve since discovered there is - so I was going to trial out solutions. Apparently, after watching a video of 2 physicians, pine tree extract helps to notify the brain that there is enough cortisol in the body, to stop the flood. Too much cortisol causes lots of issues. It has eliminated the worst of my symptoms - difficulties sleeping, staying asleep and excessive pain. It feels like a miracle. I’m only take one capsule a day, which is 100mg. Need to update your image on-line as the bottle says to take 2 per day, which is 200mg total, while your imagine on-like says 1 capsule per day. I’m good at 1, so I’ll remain here until it doesn’t work anymore. As an aside, it will be interesting to see my cortisol test results once I get the test in May. I’ve leaned you need to take care of your own health and definitely will keep in my supplement tool bag given the antioxidant benefits.

The bark that makes a difference!
I was reading about the ingredients of this product and the benefits. I decided to try it. I needed a good antioxidant and my circulation was down. As a practitioner I researched this product with about 5 others. Then decided to give it a go. Amazing results. Within about a week and a half I could feel the difference. A client asked me how. Hard to describe. More awake but in an enlivened way. Nothing to do with feeling sleepy as I never had in the past but it was like there was vibrancy flowing through me once again. A bit of a spring in my step and I just felt plain good. That was enough to get me to buy a second lot. Am happy taking this every day as it just makes me feel more alive. Give it a try.
real Pycnogenol
Bought this for the REAL, patented, Pycnogenol content. IMO, NOT the same as regular maritime pine bark supplements at half the price.......I have tried both extensively, and, IMO, my I have ONLY notice positive effects from the REAL Pycnogenol supplementation. Good stuff, IMO.
Great supplement
I’ve been taking this for about 3 weeks to see if it helps with my endometriosis. Just had a cycle and it was still painful as ever, no change. That said, it has made a noticeable difference in my energy and all over well being. I’m able to exercise more than before and have less aches and pains in my joints and muscles. Will continue to take it for those reasons alone, maybe just need more time to help with the endometriosis pain.
