I tried the generic ink, it was okay BUT it did require deep cleaning of the print head after emptying the cartridges. The factory ink though higher in cost was the best choice.

I acquired a used Canon MG8120 printer which was almost out of all inks and was hoping that this expensive set would include everything I’d need but it was lacking the 226 Gray cartridge and included an extra 225 black which I don’t immediately need. I purchased the gray cartridge separately. Other than that, I’m very satisfied and the print quality is excellent.
