The protein content for the calories is amazing. There isn’t much of a taste which I love. It doesn’t always mix the best but sometimes you just have to let it settle. I put it in my orange juice and really don’t notice it. Very good quality products.

ProsThis protein is unflavored, which is great because the milky vanilla/chocolate/strawberry flavors can become boring quite quickly. I love adding one of those Kool-Aid powder-packets used for water to provide a variety of flavor to my protein drinks.The hydrolyzed version is only slightly more expensive than the regular isolate, which is worth the price and won't break the bank!The texture is smooth and doesn't have that milky after-taste. It reminds me of the "clear" protein powders in that regard. It mixes easily with water and you won't need to use one of those wire-ball things to keep the power from clumping.Cons (these are inconveniences, not deal-breakers)The package doesn't seal very well. I would recommend transferring the powder into an empty Zip-Lock freezer bag (you might need two of those) or a large plastic food container.There is no plastic scoop. Instead, you either measure the power (30g per serving) using a food-scale, or use an old scooper from an empty protein tub. Alternatively, you can also use a measuring-spoon (the label states that 4 tablespoons is equal to one serving).It gets frothy, which is pretty common with isolates and hydrolyzed powders. Here is a work-around:1. In your shaker-bottle, add a small amount of water (like a 1/2 cup).2. Add your power.3. Add the rest of the water.5. If you're using a Kool-Aid flavor-packet, add it now. Don't add it early because it might not mix correctly with the power.6. Shake the cup to mix the power with the water.7. Set the shaker-bottle aside or place it in your refrigerator and wait 5 to 10 minutes. This will give the froth/foam enough time to settle.8. Drink. DO NOT shake the bottle before drinking, because this will cause the foam to return.9. When you're finished, there might be some foam-residue left in the bottle. Just add a little more water to the bottle and lightly spin it to gather the last of the power before drinking.I found that the "sandwiching" method used in Steps 1-6 removes the problem of powers becoming clumped at the bottom of the bottle.

This why protein dissolves even in a shaker can. Use any form of milk your want add fruit or whatever, I add actually baking cocoa and use the Better Organic Stevia, I buy the bucket, that way a get a nice sweetness to my chocolate protein shake. I love it. !

This is the best deal you will find on 100% hydrolyzed whey protein.Many of the reviews here are treating this product as if it was a "protein shake mix." This is 100% protein powder with no flavors, sweeteners or emulsifiers. If you mix it with water and nothing else, you probably won't love the taste. You can certainly consume it plain, but most people will like to add some flavor.For my daily protein shake, I like to mix 16oz water, 5T Bulksupplements Pure Hydrolyzed Whey Protein, 2T cocoa powder, 2T cane sugar, 1t creatine monohydrate and 1t sunflower lecithin. The cost per serving using these ingredients is significantly lower than buying premixed hydrolyzed whey protein shakes. (Some of the Bulksupplements protein powders contain soy lecithin-- this powder does NOT. You'll find lecithin in the ingredient mix of most protein shake mixes, as it helps the powder and any flavorings dissolve better. Soy is fine, but I like the taste of sunflower lecithin better)Hydrolyzed whey is excellent for people who have difficulty digesting dairy. I've used sprouted rice protein for years, since most whey powders don't agree with my stomach. Hydrolyzed whey is totally different though. I can take this protein twice a day without any gas, bloating or any of the other unpleasant digestive affects that whey protein can cause. (If you've ever taken whey protein and had "sticky" bowel movements afterwards, you should try hydrolyzed whey.)As far as the packaging-- I agree that the recloseable zip is awful. It might as well not even be there. That being said, this is being sold as a bulk ingredient, not a convenience product. A good solution is to reuse the container and scoop from some expensive protein powder that you purchased before you got smart and started making your own.

No problem with the taste... it doesn't have much of one. Big problem with the bloating. Hydrolyzed whey should not do this, but I waddled around like a penguin carrying triplets every time I used it. I even tried blending it the night before so that the foam would be completely gone by the time I drank it the next day. No difference. I used to use a 12-15% hydrolyzed whey that didn't bother me at all, so this must be significantly lower than that...which makes it pointless to spend the extra money on.
