We have spent thousands on training, socialization, and medications for a COVID puppy that turned very reactive. Finally at our wits end, got this collar and wish I had gotten one years ago. Was pretty easy to fit on dog and to use. Can control multiple collars off one remote. Auto Bark reduction function is great. Very durable. Multiple shock levels to match the size of your dog

The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this training collar! It’s helped me train my dog to be off-leash, giving him the freedom to live a happier life while still staying safe and secure. The vibrate and tone settings have been perfect for redirection and getting his attention without needing to use the electric feature. I’ve also found the bark control option really helpful when leaving him home alone, especially in our apartment, as it taught him not to bark just because he wanted us to return right away. The durability has been amazing—it’s held up through hikes in rain, snow, and all kinds of weather, and even swimming without any issues. It’s seamless and lightweight, looking more like an athletic collar than something bulky. Overall, this collar has made training simple and effective, with versatile options for every situation, and it’s truly improved my dog’s quality of life.Absolutely worth every penny! I’ll definitely be getting a second collar to pair with the remote once my other dog is old enough!

I never knew such a thing existed. My neighbour, Grace, a nurse also a veterinarian has one for her rescue dog Frankie. She explained how it works and I was sold. It's very well made, solid, water resistant. Garmin is a name I've come to know and trust. I've been using them for over 25 years

We bought this for our dog who will bark through expensive bark collars and other E collars and thought that we would never find anything that would work on him. He’s tough as nails!! This collar WORKS! We only had to go up to level 6 and now when it’s on him, he’s a new dog! We rarely need to use the remote to correct him. Wish I would have spent the money years ago!! Highly recommend.

We have a rescue dog that the rescue people said was a Border Collie x Staffordshire Terrier. We got a DNA test and it turned out to be 40% Pitbull, 20% American Bulldog, then a mix of Rottweiller, Doberman, Dogue de Bordeaux, and Dogo Argentino.He is powerful and he is stubborn.We had a trainer who was entirely focused on only using positive reinforcement, this was ok in a low stimulus environment, but outside the house it wasn't working at all. We struggled using her methods for a long time and I felt frustrated and had started to dislike our dog. Eventually we got a different trainer who also used positive reinforcement but this one used e-collars as well so I ordered this Garmin.Now our stubborn dog, who had no recall, and would previously pretend he couldn't hear us, after using this collar just a few times, has dramatically changed his behavior and he's now much more like the good cooperative dog outside the house as he used to be inside.It has changed everything about how I feel about him and our family relationship with him. He still gets distracted sometimes and I give him a chance to remember to do what I say before I give him a little buzz, but I can now if I need to I can give him a little zap along with a command if he forgets himself, so I'm much more comfortable letting him play in places where I previously would have kept him on the lead because he was too unpredictable.If you have a stubborn dog then try this collar. But learn how to use it before you put it on your dog. Don't expect your dog to be able to do things it hasn't been trained to do. This is another tool that sometimes seems magical, but it's not magic and if you treat it like it is then you will just hurt your dog.Garmin have some quite good videos about using it, finding the correct level (essentially use the lowest level that has an effect).With such a powerful training tool you could do a lot of harm very quickly if you use it at the wrong time or use it at the wrong levels.Pick your moments, and know when not to use it as well.Also I suggest you try it on your own arm or leg so you understand how the effect ramps up, at level 1 I can barely feel it, level 2 it feels like someone lightly scratching my arm, but by level 6 it feels very painful.
Works great, great battery life
Very good e-collar, even though only 10 levels. Simple to use and works well. Need to be careful to ensure good contact with skin for my furry dog, but works great when contact is good and it's on snug.

Luckily haven't had to test the range as my boy has stayed close, but we've trained his recall to include the vibration on the collar which is a helpful feature when they're running in the woods and you don't want to be yelling. The little headlights are handy. The only downside I believe is when you don't realize the toggle on the top has been hit and is now on a different collar setting, meaning that if you need to use your collar your dog won't be getting any feedback whatsoever.Overall a good product, only comparison I can make is to a Dogtra collar my parents dog has, it most certainly has better features the only physical difference is the Garmin is a bigger device on the dog - but could be from a better battery(ies)?
The third I bought and the best of all three
I like the collar. It does the job. I would buy it again. However, I wish I could speak to headquarters and tell them to put a strap on collar instead it the buckle one. We need to charge this thing every day and to unbuckle and buckle again and again can be a challenge especially with a crazy energetic dog like mine. The wiring of the charger is also outdated. If I could speak to them I’d tell them to use C3 cable connectors like their competitors.
Excellent collar
Bought this collar to help teach my dog recall. She's a stubborn hound who is a rescue and didn't get trained recall as a puppy, so she catches a scent and takes off in the bush.The product is expensive, but I trust Garmin products and I didn't want to buy something cheap that would accidentally hurt my dog.Love the dial on the remote because I don't have to mess with buttons to set it to the level I need, and when you have a fast dog, that's a great time-saver. Levels 1-3 are a tickle, and 4-5 don't hurt, but are just a little jolt to get your attention. I tried level 6 on myself too and it doesn't hurt a lot, but it's definitely unpleasant and I won't be using past that level and really only will ever use it if my dog is in danger. We only used it on e because my dog ran off in the bush and was in the road. Stopped her in her tracks and she came running back though, so it works. For dogs that have thicker skin (or skulls) the higher levels would probably be useful.Also love the tone feature! She has learned that with the tone, it's time to come and I don't have to use the vibrate or shock on her at all anymore.It's also good in a bit of water if your dog accidentally falls in the water, but it isn't meant for swimming.Really impressed with this product! I'm glad I dished out the money for it.
