I've been fighting a bed bug problem for over a year, finances were a huge obstacle for me so I couldn't afford any exterminators or to order the good spray until now. Finally this year I scraped enough together and I found this spray. I read through many reviews and I decided to try it. After talking to my mom for advice, I packed up all clutter, loose clothing and knickknacks in black trash bags and tied them goose neck style and put them out of the way. (the bugs will suffocate and die, so leave it for two weeks) I stripped the bed, washed all the sheets and stuff in hot water and dried them on high heat. Then I set to work. This gallon of spray was enough to spray the whole perimeter of my master bedroom, the edges of my mattress and box spring, living room, two bathrooms, the large bookcase, end tables, entertainment center, hallway, door frames and doorways. Magically, almost overnight, there were zero bugs! I couldn't believe it. I'm really grateful for this product! The only little things I have to add that aren't complaints, (just a heads up for other people) is the sprayer, once used, will start to siphon the liquid out if you lay it face down, so remember to turn off the nozzle or set it upright. The second thing is splash back, it sprays really far but it does splatter and splash. Keep the window open to ventilate and wear something over your eyes for safety. Also it does irritate skin (it's a chemical) so don't be like me and not wear gloves.I hope you try this product if you are having the same issue! It really works! I will be buying more soon just to have it around, but honestly I haven't seen any trace of anything since the first application.

Works if you follow instructions and remain diligent. Full disclaimer: I used this product in conjunction with EcoRaider and another product. I found 2 bugs after returning from extended travel. I used the regular version of this brand to treat the whole house after I threw out every single thing in my room and the closet where my luggage was stored. (No, you don't have to throw out your mattress and clothes, but I personally believe it helps to get rid of every egg and some living bugs hiding out in shoes, boxes, paperwork, headboards, etc.) I sprayed the original Harris spray on every inch of any thing from wall art to the light sockets and every couch cushion, every appliance, everywhere I could. I bought a new mattress, covered it with TWO bed bug proof covers after treating it three times and allowing it dry fully outside. I took the clothes, towels, sheets I had left and washed them in hot water then two cycles of high heat in the dryer. After that, I put every bit of it in plastic bags and tied them tight and stored them in my tub. (bed bugs have a hard time climbing up slick surfaces, and cannot get through the plastic bags so this is the best way to prevent any bugs running from poison to get back into your clothes and sheets.) I also ordered the pods to put the legs of furniture in. They are like pools of poison so if any bugs climb off or on to your furniture, they have to go through the poison in the pods. This only works if your furniture is away from the walls and no blankets touching the floor or curtains or walls. I used the powder around all the baseboards, into every little crack and crevice I could see with a magnifying glass, and behind all the photo/wall art frames and all decorative items with an open space (like vases and fluted light covers). Every 7 days I sprayed again using the aerosol and large spray bottle and I cleaned up the powder and reapplied it. Six weeks later I had just started putting clothes in my closet again and found another full grown bug and one dead smaller bug. I was astonished anything survived the amount of poison I was using. I again cleaned out my closet completely, put everything back through high heat clean/dry cycles and into the tub while I treated the house with this Harris Toughest Bed Bug Killer. I also added EcoRaider and another (I forget the name) to the mix. The EcoRaider has a stronger smell that lingers a lot longer but it's supposedly the best of all of them. I'm now two full months out and have not seen any bugs, eggs, nymphs, or additional dead bodies. I still spray every 10 days and have not yet begun using my closet again but will do in a couple more weeks. Everyone I know that I had legit lost my mind because coming home and spraying the house had become such a regular thing, but you know what? I got rid of them and from what I read, that's how diligent/crazy you have to be if you're going to get rid of them within a few months. Good luck! It's so disgusting and stressful but you can do it!

I have never had bedbugs. Honestly, I had never even seen a live bedbug (except in documentaries that talk of infestations). When I saw a little insect creeping on the back of a chair in my living room, I collected it and researched what it was: it was a bedbug. My heart sank and thus, initiated my journey to eradicate these pests. This product is among the top-rated, available-for-retail options out there for a reason: it's pretty effective. The only reason there might be a deduction in "stars" within my rating is because the sprayer hose moves to freely in the jug and sometimes, it's hard to get product to dispense in a consistent manner. That product within, tho...it is LETHAL to the bedboogs. They run from the scent of it. It kills really well, too.So this product, in conjunction with Diatomaceous Earth (in pet and food prep areas), Cimexa (in non-pet areas, bedrooms and so on) and a Dupray "Neat" steam cleaner combined with sealing/isolating furniture was the strategy that has proven effective in eliminating the problem over the course of a couple months. It took a lot of work dispersed over this time, a watchful eye and attention to detail to address this problem, but it saved us thousands in the cost of having the Professionals do it. So over the long run, this Harris' Black Label has proven itself to be absolutely indespensible, worth every cent and highly instrumental in relieving us of this nuisance.Would definitley recommend to others. In fact, if I can say anything with regard to my ordeal, it has left me with insight on how to address and advise others, should they find themselves with a bedbug problem.Of course, another little tidbit of useful advice: "When someone gives you as gift and you suspect it might be a used item or a 're-gift' that has sat in someone's closet, isolate it and get it cleaned before you just set it in your home."I suspect that this is how we wound up getting bed bugs. While I haven't seen any bedbugs in a couple weeks now, we're still vigilant. PROTIP: Hand sanitizer kills bedbugs instantly, as does alcohol. A hair dryer will drive them out of hiding. Just be careful when trying to "smoke" them out with hair dryer-heat. The material might not be able to handle heat.
