2.0 out of 5 stars Sighs..... for a $1 I will try not to complain tooooo much.
I don't even know where to begin. Let's just say I was more thrilled about finishing the book than I was reading it. I understand that many people really did like it, but it just got worse as the book went on. I didn't like (hold on I got to go look at what her name was cause this book is so forgettable I can't even remember the MC's name BRB....) Paige. She was so quick to "cheat", so quick to play these stupid "I miss you" games because she felt lonely when one of her love interests weren't paying her attention. I kept thinking, if Paige were a guy, let's call him Peter, and Peter was bouncing back and forth between 2 girls and quick to be kissing all over one when the other left town, oh every female reader would be calling him such a cheat, etc. Ohhhh, but not Paige because poor Paige is confused! I just didn't like her and honestly I felt nothing for the characters in this. Everything about this book was so bland and forgettable. Also, who sends their teenage daughter to another state pretty much unsupervised to go do a movie with a bunch of adults that you DON'T EVEN KNOW!!!It took me weeks to finish the book because to even read 10 pages became painful. I even ended up finishing 2 other books and half way finishing 2 others before finishing this one! I don't even understand why there is a book 2. It was just too shallow for me. Not to mention the story went absolutely NOWHERE!!! Anyway, like I said for a $1 I won't complain toooo much, but I give this a 2 stars, only because in the beginning it was alright and there were hints of family values toward the end. Would I recommend this? No, but I wouldn't discourage anyone from giving it a try. Would I read book 2? No, but I would view spoilers in hopes that Paige ends up alone (then again if that's the case, I might just read book 2 after all, maybe haha)! :-) I know I know I'm such a sucker for romance lol...Content: Some scattered language, no sexual content, but some heated kisses with desire.
