I bought the 8-channel 4k PoE as a self-install project for my father and I. I chose this particular model because of the good reviews and came at an affordable price for all the features advertised. The ability to view the cameras remotely was also interesting.The packaging is quite good- each item is carefully wrapped for its protection. The cameras felt solid in quality. The cables leading from the cameras come with a protected end for the included cables to be run through the home. We don't have a 4K-capable monitor set up, so I can't comment on the full resolution, but the video quality is quite good and the low-light mode is very clear on the display. Don't mount the camera too close to a wall or solid object if you want best results for the low-light mode. The cable provided for the cameras was relatively easy to run - we opted for an attic run to the roof mounting points.Once the DVR was hooked to the internet, we were able to see the cameras through the ZosiSmart app. The provided QR code system makes it easy to pair a device to your account and even share it with another account, if you want.I will note that I didn't set up motion detection as our intent for using these cameras is for common residential use, and I don't really need to get notified if a small animal crosses the camera at night, for example. It seems the features are available right in the configuration menu if that's what you want.I would also like to mention the high quality of the customer service. After our initial install, we found one of the cables wasn't working. I contacted support, and after they understood the situation and confirmed the product type, sent us a new cable free of charge. It was as simple as that. You can get support both through chat and e-mail, and they are responsive both during chat business hours and off hours through e-mail. Special thanks to Amy for triaging my issue quickly!Overall, a great value and would recommend based on all the factors I mentioned: good value, ease of installation, and great support.

The media could not be loaded. Honestly these cameras work very well but their system when viewing the recordings is a little complicated to go back and see what has happened, I had to go back to see days ago and it was complicated to see and that I am very good at the computer, however I love the phone application I can see everything that happens around almost instantly it takes between 5-15 seconds to be able to see the cameras, free of charge this is great because it also connects to the hard drive from the phone so you can see what has happened from your phone, I give it a rating of 9 out of 10 and I would buy them again.

- I've had a security system before (Knight Owl, which had great software, but horrible support) so I'm aware of how to set them up. First I have to say that the software is not intuitive, and the system came with no user manual. I spent hours on the internet, including the Zosi web page (which isn't very helpful) attempting to get this system set up. Hardware setup was not a problem, it's the software and lack of instructions that is awful. I tried to contact Zosi support via WhatsApp, but got no response until the next morning. Same with email. They're obviously only available during China working hours.- I set up the motion sensor grid for each camera and got constant alerts for motion. I assumed setting the sensitivity from the default of 6 to 1 (1-8 scale) would make it less sensitive, but that didn't fix things. Finding info on line I discovered 8 is least sensitive. Setting all the cameras to 8 removed all the false alarms on motion.- Even with sensitivity set to 8, having motion sensors on causes this constant alert "screen change detected". With 8 cameras, It would blow up my phone with 20+ notifications every minute and rest up my phone battery. The only option I could find on the forums was to turn the motion sensors off. I found this solution on the Zosi Facebook account, and it was from a Zosi rep. Being that motion sensing is how my old system worked, it makes absolutely no sense to me to turn off the motion sensors. Crazy thing is, even with all the motion sensors off, I still get a motion detected alarms from time to time.- intelligent sensing was the other option, but you can only select a square of area to watch, and it's very difficult to select a large square. The system just won't draw it. That ended up not being important because it doesn't seem to take the selected square into account anyway... see the next point.- I tried to select an intelligent sensor square that didn't include the street with cars passing by, but it still alarms that it sees cars. I ended up moving the cameras so they couldn't see any of the road. That was not what I wanted to do, but I found no other option.- I tested triggering a car entering my driveway and it worked by sending me an alert on my phone app, but when I click on the notification it doesn't take me to that recording. I had to navigate to the alert push notification area in the app and find the specific notification I was looking for. I then clicked on it and selected playback and first it failed to play back anything. I tried again and it took over 30 seconds but finally started playing a recording from that camera, but not of the car coming into the driveway. I played the video for 3 minutes and never saw the car. I tried multiple times to get the video to show me the car entering the driveway but most of the time it did nothing. I finally figured out the app just does a screenshot, and looking at the date and time of that screenshot I had to manually search the saved video to find the event.- regarding the phone app, it is very slow and I have found that you need to often refresh the link to the system in order to get the app to show you current information. Often times I'm trying to locate a video and have to wait up to 30 seconds of the "spinning wheel" before the video loads. The app is also not intuitive.- day 3 of trying to tune this system and I'm getting pretty close to it not sending false alarms when sometime in the afternoon it just stops working. The app shows the system is disconnected and I can't do anything remotely. I get back to the house and bring up the system on the TV and it shows one camera active and a notification on the bottom right of the screen "Ip disconnect". I had to turn it off and back on to get it to work again. Since I leave the house for weeks at a time, this is very concerning.In conclusion, I found the system very difficult to use, and with all the false alarms and lack of ability to locate desired video, it us basically useless. It also seems to be unstable and may require frequent reboots. I'd return it in a heartbeat if I hadn't spent 2 days installing it in my home. It would take me at least a day to remove it. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK SYSTEM.Update - the latest issue I've found is that if I park a car in my driveway, it recognizes there's a car. Then it keeps notifying me every minute that there's a car in the camera view! I tried snoozing the notification on my android phone but it still notifies me, every minute. I don't have a problem snoozing notifications on other apps. I have to turn off notifications from the app to get it to stop. Horrible.Final update: After working with the Zosi support team with no resolution to the issues, they agreed to take my system back for a refund. This was well beyond the return date, and the support team was very responsive, but in the end, it doesn't matter how good the support team is for a defective system. I purchased a comparable system from Lorex and it is functioning correctly.

Edit* I re-read the instructions carefully and found out a setting that made the camera work again. I will continue to test and see how it goues.Camera is not working. I hear a click when I power it but there no image and nothing shows on my screen to be able to change the settings when I push the camera button. I got busy and didn't installed it soon enough so I missed the timeframe for a couple days of returning the bad camera. I've purchased the same camera 2 other times and they worked fine. This one didn't. Sadly.

Great little camera well worth the price and came on time, just now i'm waiting upon getting other parts to complete the set up and get working and looking after my home, but due to cost have to buy in parts. Next order three more cameras + cable and all fittings them dvr.
