I got a perm at an Aveda salon. Upon arrival, I asked my stylist of 4 years if she thought my medium brown colored hair could even tolerate a perm. Unfortunately, she was in a pissy mood and was acting put out about doing the perm for some unknown reason. Rather than answering my questions, she just started preparing the perm rods. Then I found out that Aveda doesn't even make perms anymore! Why didn't I get up and run out of there? Unknown. I stayed. Afterwards, my fine hair was a frizzed out, brittle, zombie, extremely dry MESS. I left in tears. Once home I wet my hair again with water. After gently squeezing my wet hair with a microfiber towel, I applied Matrix Miracle Treat 12 Lotion Spray and then the Silk Express Leave-in. I applied both products the same way as they are thicker lotions. I put two pumps of the Matrix in my hands and applied it to one front side, two more sprays for the other side, 2 sprays each for each back side, and 2 sprays for the way back, then repeat with the Silk Express. Afterwards I worked them in again together well. Then I finger combed my permed hair and let it air dry. When dry my hair looked healthy, soft, frizz free, and shiny. I was amazed. I know it sounds like I used a ton of product, but believe me, my hair drank it up. Once dry, it didn't feel greasy or weighed down at all. I just picked it out a little and it looked good. I do the same routine every time I wash my hair with the same results. Last week I made the mistake of deciding to use much less of each product listed above because I was also trying the It's a 10 Miracle Whipped Styling Balm for the first time. My hair turned out awful--dull, crispy, frizzy again. Now I'm not entirely certain how much the Miracle Whipped Styling Balm contributed to this disaster, but I'll save discussing how I felt about it for that review. What I do know, is that using ~1/2 the amount of my 2 lotion sprays was not a good idea. My hair needs all that moisture and conditioning until this perm grows out anyway. As an aside, I would just love to know of a gentle, effective perm for double processed hair (medium brown hair and a perm). Before my perm I used It's a 10 Silk Express Leave-in as well, though in a lesser amount, and still got soft, shiny, frizz free hair. Will continue to buy, highly recommend. I don't recommend spraying this directly on your hair as it's hard to distribute evenly and may be easy to use too much on one spot.

Arrived fast and safely. Love this product have used for many years. I have fine blonde hair that tangles, this gets the tangles out without making my hair oily. Great shine and looks so healthy when used

I am a diehard user of these products, but I have never tried this particular product before. Let’s just say one use my hair was the silkiest I have ever felt it. it smells amazing the next day when I don’t even have to shampoo, my hair or conditioner I can literally just get it wet and just leave product washes clean so much less stress on my hair. It’s amazing you have got to try this product.

I have used these products in the past but the silk collection has quickly become my favorite. It smells good, makes my hair soft, dry faster and less frizzy. This is a much bigger bottle than I'm use to but I love it and will definitely use it all. I have also used it on my 3 year old and had the same results. We both have relatively straight, long hair.

I read a review before I bought it where someone said it smells awful but I like the scent; it reminds me of hair salon. The only objection I have about this is the price but you get what you pay for so will buy again.

An absolute gem of a hair detangler!
Someone actually recommended this leave-in in a review on another version of this product and I'm so grateful for that poster. She literally changed my life for the better. I have used this when my 4C hair was very tangled and it helped SO MUCH. I'm honestly obsessed with this product and I wish I had discovered it before. I wish more products worked that well. It's my new favorite hair product and I will be purchasing more and also recommend it to anyone who struggles with detangling their hair.
