I wanted a set of nice, vintage-looking china for dinners and didn't want to spend a lot of money or time collecting a set piece by piece. This set is very pretty and looks like vintage. I wish it came with bread plates instead of the little fruit bowls, but I bought a set of vintage Noritake bread plates in the "Galavan" pattern (seen in the picture), which are similar in color and pattern. Some reviewers complain that the dinner plates are small- having used vintage china dinnerware in the past, I think the plates in this set, at 10.25 inches, are huge (Some random antique ones I have are 10 inches and some even smaller than that). They're not the giant-sized plates you get at restaurants. The coffee cups are small, but a good size for after dinner coffee. They are not tea cups- tea cups have more of a flared rim. The set came packaged very well for safe shipping .

Flawless & Delicate! As a picky china /dish set and tea cup fanatic, I needed an affordable yet elegant gold trimmed set of dishes. I wanted a much more expensive set, but I was on a tight budget, and found these after an exhaustive search. I almost cancelled the order, because I figured they’d look cheap and the gold trimmed pattern would be tacky or inconsistent on each piece. The dishes looked absolutely amazing when they arrived, especially at the affordable price! I highly recommend this company. They were also very quick to respond to my email questions about the dishes prior to cancelling. Thank goodness I didn’t!! Some reviewers mentioned that the cups were too small. Not so at all. They are petite, but quite dainty, which is reminiscent of a vintage looking set. For those looking for a hearty, much more modern set with mug-like cups, then look elsewhere. The table will look beautiful set with my brushed gold flatware and gold chargers. The photo on Bolo used to advertise is blurry, and does not do justice to the product. The dishes are subtle, so these extras will highlight the dishes. I’m so glad I went with these, and ended up ordering a second set! Nothing came broken and everything was packaged safely.

I ordered this set to augment my existing service of 8 settings which I purchased some years ago. It’s a perfect match, except for the side plates, which are considerably larger than the originals. Whilst disappointed, I have decided to keep it, as it’s unlikely I could get the smaller ones instead.

I liked everything about this lovely china-except for the fact that it was missing pieces! One of the large soup bowls was missing, and I didn’t realize it until the window for return had expired. Please be aware of this if buying from this seller; open and check upon arrival, because you can easily be cheated of your order.

it doesn't go to the microwave
It feels like a total scam. I was looking for something nice that was possible to put in the microwave. I found this set and it says it's microwave safe. Turns out it's not microwave safe. As soon as I opened it I need it couldn't go to the microwave but I still decided to give it a try. Well, don't do it. I saw some light like a thunder so I stopped the microwave immediately. I'd never gotten so sad with a purchase like this one because I spent so much time searching and when I finally made a decision, it was a wrong one. I bought 2 sets. Now I'm searching again and I will spend more money to buy the right sets for me. Btw, they look cheap.
