The 2-CD set is titled "German Drinking Songs" and they may very well be -- but if you are American and expecting a lot of oom-pah-pah style music, this is not what you want. There are some songs of that style but there are also a lot of what sound like ballads and many songs with violins -- maybe more folk-type music. It wasn't what I wanted for my Oktoberfest parties. On the plus side, one of my friends whose parents were born in Germany said that the music sounded just like what his parents used to play in their house years ago, so it is legit German music.
