I imagine they'd sound more complete with a sub but that's not what I purchased these for. I wanted a flat and honest sound for mixing and that's exactly what these are. These are my new standard for near field monitors.

Great studio monitors. Running guitar through them mostly. Extremely clean and balanced sound. More than adequate volume for even large rooms. Impressive.

Nice flat response. Though I moved closer to wall for a little more bass. perfect size for 200sq feet room. I suspect too many "pros" pay too much for crazy priced monitors. They break out gadgets to measure frequencies and all sorts of stuff. I've listened at Skywalker ranch, hyde street, Fantasy and many more top studios... these are just fine to mix music in at a home studio. Save your cash for Hawaii and early retirement and just get these.

I’m relieved that I didn’t get scammed, both speakers came in a parcel box to protect the original packaging and the shipping time was nice. Speakers were brand new in perfect working condition and just… the white is beautiful, I love these things. Thanks to the company that sent it out, they did a great job.

Prior to this purchase, I was monitoring my productions on open-back headphones and Bose speakers.It's nice to hear the low-end accuracy from these monitors as compared to the exaggerated lows of the Bose.I'm about a few months in use and I have grown more and more familiar to the sound profile of these monitors. My mixes have gotten significantly better when I render them out to listen in my car, now that I can reference them with these beforehand! Pretty pleased with this purchase, good investment.

During my career as a consumer audio technician, I encountered Yamaha home stereo products. Unparalleled performance. I have owned TWO Yamaha bass guitars. It is hard to go to any concert venue without seeing Yamaha equipment onstage. And now these beautiful little studio monitors. Oh, my God. For years I enjoyed Bowers & Wilkins floor standing speakers, arguably the best loudspeakers in the WORLD. These little Yamaha speakers are great. They compare favorably to the smaller B&W speakers at 2X or 3X the price. I had to downsize...senior living, you know. I can't say enough good things about these little monitors...oh yeah! The Yamaha logo lights up! Nice touch.

Excellent monitors with amazing separation. Mine were functional and have had no problems after a few weeks. If the amp dies or anything changes, you'll get an update. Impressive clarity, exceptional accuracy. True to the past, these monitors have a big spike at 1.5 kHz, which will suck the midrange out of your mix if you don't know about that and play it on other speakers. Know what you are using before you buy them.

Los monitores cumplen su función, no soy experto en audio pero para lo que yo lo uso que es edición de video me quedaron perfectos, ademas de que fisicamente son hermosos en color blanco, los recomiendo ya que este es el mejor precio que encontraras en linea en México.
