Recently I went to Europe and Israel for 3 weeks. I had always heard that Chacos are amazing so I bought these and only brought these on the trip. I brought no other shoes including flip flops or tennis shoes! These suited my needs so perfectly; you might want something fancier for somewhere like Italy but they were amazing for walking. I went to St. Peter's Basilica/Vatican City and my feet didn't hurt when everyone else's did. They were also perfect for hiking in Switzerland (I added socks lol) and going through Hezekiah's tunnel in Israel. The only thing I couldn't wear them for was inside the Dead Sea because of all the mud, you couldn't really wear shoes. For everything else we did they were perfect, comfy, water, tennis shoes that were shaped like sandals and waterproof. They also looked great with every outfit and were so comfortable. I also wore these on 8 planes. Recently I also went to Dollywood and they were perfect for every ride, especially the water ones. They stayed on perfectly when I rode horses as well. Would recommend these for any summer adventure.

I don't know what went wrong with the previous pair of Chacos I owned, but this pair is SUBSTANTIALLY MORE COMFORTABLE! I love the arch support and the placement of the straps on this sandal. They tighten around my ankle without having a mile of excess material to tuck and tie (like my previous pair). To be completely honest, I did purchase a women's size 8, whereas this is a "Big Kid's" size 6 (same measurements). I will never go back to the women's models! The aesthetics are also wonderful, as I really did not want a pair that was completely black. The design on the straps breaks up the monotony of the color, as well as the lighter gray bottom platform. One last aspect that I LOVE about this pair is that there is NO TOE STRAP! Never again will I purchase a pair with a toe strap. Some of my favorite sandals have toe straps (other brands), however, the toe strap on my previous pair of women's Chacos was so difficult to get my toe into that I dreaded sitting down to put them on (a 5-minute ordeal). This pair allows a seamless slip-in! LOVE THEM!

Love these shoes, Chacos are so durable and high quality, I will recommend them to anyone. This color is super cute, especially in the summertime with more tan skin. I am a size 7 in women’s, and the size 5 in kids fit me great. I hike them, swim in them, boat in them, and they work great for about any summer activity you could think of.

I'm writing an early review and will update later on comfort/durability. My family is going on a little trip to Branson so I've been hunting for just the right shoes that would be not only comfortable for walking around all day, but also to get wet in. I ordered myself and my 7 year old daughter a pair of chacos and my 3 boys got Tevas. I struggled with choosing a size when ordering. Some reviews say to order down a size, some say true to size and others swear by ordering up. I wear a women's 8 so I bought my chacos in an 8 and they are a perfect fit! That being said, my daughter wears a children's size 2 so that's what I ordered. Yeah......no. They were way to big on her. There was no way to even adjust them tight enough to make them work. I returned them and reordered a size 1. They will be here Friday and I'm praying for a better fit because I wanted us all to have time to break them in well before we left to make sure they didn't leave blisters. I will say, the quality was excellent. They were the same as mine as far as quality and adjustability. The Tevas I ordered for my boys won't be here until Saturday so my fingers are crossed for them. They have similar mixed reviews on sizing. Why does it have to be so hard??
