Several of my friends with chronic inflammation issues have been raving about these, calling them "miracle workers" for liver protection and reducing their overall inflammation.The capsules are easy to swallow and I haven't experienced any digestive upset, which was a concern I had when starting any new supplement. The NOW Foods brand has a good reputation for quality, which factored into my decision to try this specific NAC product.I'm taking them consistently as directed and plan to give them the full recommended time to work before making any judgments. My main goals are supporting liver health and addressing some joint inflammation I've been experiencing.I'll definitely come back and update this review in a few weeks once I've had enough time to observe any effects. I deduct a star from this product and from any other that comes from this company because of the use of fillers. To be honest, I only purchased NAC from this company because I lost the more expensive bottle from another brand which did not contain fillers. It was also in a capsule.This supplement is in tablet form, which I overlooked. I don't know why or what it is, but this particular supplement taste awful. I take many supplements, including a multivitamin, and there is nothing comparable to the taste. And my multivitamin is not pleasant but it's also not awful. This one I have to hold my breath to get down. It is almost skunky if I had to describe it.I paid for it and I got what I paid for. I did see the fillers in the ingredients when I purchased it, but I need NAC and this brand is cheap. I'll keep taking what's left in the bottle because I still need it. It is made in a GMP facility, so I trust that it does contain the one ingredient that is actually necessary. But I'll never buy another bottle from this company.If you're in a bind and need this for cheap, this will do its job. But if you can afford a better quality supplement, my suggestion is to spend the extra cash and stay away from this one.

First let me give you a summary of my 10 year old daughter. She's always been a problem child, literally since day one. For some that may be a hard concept to imagine, but for those who have ever dealt with a child with behavioral/emotional/mental issues I know you guys understand me. She's always struggled in school, at home, in social situations. Comprehension has never come easy to her and getting her to read anything was literally like pulling teeth! She was eventually diagnosed with ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder) because her behavior had gotten so bad both at home and in school. She had CPS called out to the home for making bogus statements at home. Life was extremely stressful to say the least. I was at a loss and heartbroken when I was advised that the only thing I could do to "protect" myself and her siblings would be to start calling the cops on her myself and making a police report (yes it got THAT bad). I've tried everything imaginable, every kind of supplement I came across but to no avail. I even gave in to try medicines which helped the mood, but only really seemed to temporarily mask the problem. With the side effects of the medicine already having me feeling on edge, I didn't feel comfortable upping the dosage so we opted to discontinue and seek other treatment. I have researched and researched and finally came across NAC supplement. I read a number of articles and realized that she would be a pretty good candidate to try this. I began giving this to her on the evening of 02.26.16 and the NEXT day she was reading like she had been reading all of her life! I could have cried watching how excited she had become about reading literally OVERNIGHT! Within less than a week she managed to reach her comprehension goals at school and her mood is so much more positive!***Update 01/2017 - We had a bit of a set back regarding mood issues (I'm thinking due to changes in hormones caused by mensturation) but have since changed up her vitamins with positive results. She is now diagnosed more towards Bipolar and OCD btw. I tried her on St Johns Wort and Lithium Orotate and although I could see a difference it wasn't helping mood and aggitation like I was hoping it would. Plus it seemed to make her OCD behavior worse. I did some research and found that sometimes mood disorders aren't serotonin related (Which most doctors primarily focus on) but dopamine. So we searched for alternatives and found L-Tyrosine. So far I am thrilled. For those interested her daily regime is below. Keep in mind I am not a doctor, just a loving parent who wants to give her child the best chance at life! :) Note, I'm not including dosage because everyone is different so I encourage starting low and working up to the dosages that you find works for you!AM:L-Tyrosine / NAC / NiacinamidePM:NAC / L-Carnatine

However, after taking one pill, I woke up extremely dizzy. I stopped taking it, and after half a day, I felt fine again. A week later, I tried again, but 8 hours later, I experienced vertigo-like dizziness. I immediately stopped taking it, and it's clear that the supplement is causing this reaction. Unfortunately, I can't return it.
