DAP Commercial Kitchen 100% Silicone Sealant is a silicone rubber sealant that is approved for food zone areas and is ideal for sealing in commercial kitchens. Provides a durable, waterproof seal with minimal shrinkage, long-lasting flexibility, and excellent adhesion. Certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI Standard 51, it is safe for incidental food contact. When cured and washed, the product meets FDA Reg 21, CFR 177.2600. Once cured, it is unaffected by temperature extremes from -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Product is for interior use only and is not paintable. DAP caulk and sealants provide durable performance for a variety of projects.

I purchased this to clean up the seam in the corner between two stainless steel panels around a gas range at our church. The 100+ year old masonry walls did not have a straight corner and the uneven gap looked pretty bad. Using this caulk cleaned things up nicely.

I’ve bought this twice. Does a good job adhering to surface and matches the color of stainless steel well. I do have 2 issues. First one is that it cures really fast, so fast that you don’t have time to smooth the bead before it skins over. Do very small sections (a few feet) at a time. Second issue is that the sections exposed to the most moisture developed mold which could not be cleaned off-it was inside the bead of sealant. This may have happened with any sealant but I’ll try another brand and see.
