These are a good choice for a factory replacement. I'd consider them to be an upgrade in most applications. Your stereo will power them just fine, and can handle your favorite song at an unreasonable volume level. I don't think you'll regret the purchase.If you can add an appropriately rated amp, you should really enjoy these speakers.

The media could not be loaded. At first was SORELY disappointed, but I gave them a week to break and they sound insanely clean!! I can't believe I'm saying this but they are better sounding than my Rockford Fosgate T1 6.5. At 180$. They need break in because the spiders are so rigid.That means for 2 pairs I paid ALMOST for 1 pair or Rockfords. I also love the woven tinsel leads and rugged construction. Just like my Rockfords, however! This have a better midbass ;) just the way I like it.Less power draw on my competition Rockford Fosgate t-600 gave me extra power to Rockford amp!Do yourself a favor and buy an ultra low distortion amp like Rockford power series or Orion hcca. Give them 1-2 weeks and let them rock your world! Evenly balanced and plenty loud enough considering the rated wattage, probably because the sensitivity rating (94) is outstanding- especially at this price point. The higher the sensitivity the louder/ clearer a speaker will play at a given amount of watts.The speakers look nice, perform extremely well, and I can’t think of much you could get at this price that would be better- the cheaper Infinity 6.5 comps maybe, but they are still a few bucks more.The only downside, is that while the crossovers do look really nice they are the big. About 2.5 x 4.0 x 1.0 inches, so you will have to be conscious of that and where you will mount them.Overall, I’m extremely happy with them and would definitely buy them again. If you’re on a budget there are cheaper options, but @ $115, these I feel like are a bargain per the performance.

2nd set bought in June of 2024:Traded in my old truck, so new speakers were needed for the new one. Bought my 2nd set and had them installed in my new to me F150 front doors along with the coaxial version in the back doors, they sound great! They’re being powered by a 700 watt 4 channel Sony amp. Still in the break in period, so they will only sound better as they go. Very happy with them!Great sounding speakers! Replaced a set of Memphis component speakers in my F150 with these as the Memphis speakers fell apart. These are noticeably better quality in both the woofer and tweeter construction and sound quality. The volume on them at 15 on my head unit is louder, clearer, and fuller than than the Memphis speakers on volume level 25. Why I did not go with Cerwin Vega speakers the first time, I do not know (had CVs in my previous vehicle and never had a problem with them). Just make sure to run an amp with them. I imagine once they break in, they will sound even better. Highly recommended!

A great 6x8!!!!!! with the Metra 72-5600 Speaker Adapter for Fords, I installed 4 speakers in a 2007 F150 crew cabin 45 min. It could have been faster if I didn't test and compare as I insatalled each speaker. By design 6x8 speakers are horrible. Cerwin Vega made a good speaker. Anyone that has used Vegas in the past knows you need to exercise them to break them in. If you think the speakers can't handle BASS play some DJ Magic Mike and some BASS test. I have played Hard Hitting BASS songs 2 or 4 times a day for the past week. Each day they sound better. It takes about a month or so to really break them in. The tweeter used on this 2 way is great. With the stock stereo the bass dose fall flat at high volume because the head unit doesn't have the power to really push the speaker. Remember this is not a subwoofer it is a midrange speaker. I will updat the review after I install a amp or more powerful head unit. For a mid range speaker the V468 fits the bill. With the stock head unit you will not and cannot hurt this speaker. I can turn the Bass and Treble all the way up and the volume to max no distortion.

Great speakers. Very good quality, excellent sound and can handle decent power. For the money it would be difficult to find a better upgrade to most car speakers. After the easy install we tried a movie in a new multimedia head unit, and the speakers did not disappoint. Instantly noticed the amazing difference from the stock speakers. If you like crystal clear bass response, and clarity of sound at low or high volume, these do not disappoint. I bought 2 more sets for another speaker upgrade.

Supremely clear mids and highs. The bass exceeded my expectations, also. I could feel my pant legs move from the air pushed at high volumes. Tested speakers so far on Rush (2112), Ella Fitzgerald, Tool (Aenima, 10,000 Days), Godsmack (Faceless), The Hu (The Gereg), Led Zeppelin (IV), Neil Young (Harvest), Shinedown (Sound of Madness). Great on vocals and harmonica. Electric and acoustic guitars very clear. Installation involved soldering and required a spacer because the magnet was three times larger than the stock speakers and had clearance issues with the windows. Otherwise perfect fit for 2010 F150 XLT Supercab.Hint for people with the same truck: the side with the push clip on the electrical connection is positive.
Sounds great replacing stock 2018 Tacoma speakers.
Great sounding speakers! The 6.5” drivers deliver decent bass and clear sound and can go quite loud. The 94dB sensitivity rating allows my Tacoma’s stock headunit to power them and still have them sound good. They sound much better, have more low and punchy bass, and go louder than the stock speakers did, even though two of these are replacing stock 6X9s using the Metra adapters. I purchased two sets of the speakers (two for rear doors and two for front) and had no issues with install at all. Very happy with purchase, and happy I didn’t get coaxial type speakers, as I don’t like too many tweeters, and they rob what very little power you have to work with. I only used the 6.5” woofers from this kit, and did not use the tweeters and crossovers. In my 2018 Tacoma, the front tweeters take care of the highs (especially with Subaru/Kicker tweeter upgrade) and these Cerwin-Vegas handle the rest just fine. I plan on getting a 8” Vega series sub and ported box to finish off the system, as I’m not after anything crazy loud.

Had to bend 2 tabs for proper install in my 04 f150 nothing major just 2 extra mounting options other than that they sound really good better than I thought good highs good bass on aftermarket pioneer head unit but anyways very happy with them will get 2 more for the rears forsure

Night and day difference in my 2011 gmc sierra I bypassed the crappy bose amp just have them running off the pioneer head unit sound quality is pretty dam good better than I thought it would be. Will definitely buy again
