When I was ordering my pool vacuum for a new pool, I saw this item and knew that I needed it. I have a large oak tree near the pool, as well as plenty of shrubbery. It also gets quite windy at times. This item catches the leaves and other debris before they can make it to the filter, saving stress on the machinery and quite helpful for my pool guy as well. The amount of leaves that were prevented from going into the filter was impressive. I'm very happy to have spent the extra money when setting up my equipment; definitely worth it!

Being in the southwest we have our pool running year round. We have lots of vegetation in our yard and this does a great job collecting debris before getting to the pool filter. I will always have one of these in my pool. Worth every penny.

our pool is so clean since we use the zodiac leaf basket , much cheaper than our pool service price ( they sell it as well)

Love thos little leaf catcher but downside is it only works on one specific brand cleaner. Since the cleaner I ordered arrived not functional this is useless to me.

Oh, if only I trusted the negative reviews. However, after purchasing this item, I’m right there with them. It does have a serious design flaw as others have stated. The canister seal does not last more than 1/2 a season before the closure seal no longer seals out air. This design flaw causes a serious air leak through the top which ultimately effects the pump and it’s ability to function properly. The >$100 price of this unit may seem attractive, but it will cost you more that that to replace your pump, due to the air intake from the unit; it will put a damaging strain on the pump. AVOID THIS ITEM.
