The transfer ratio can be set to 2:1, 3:1, 4:1 or 5:1 by simple adjustment of two screws. The work piece is aligned and fixed on the movable guide block by means of clamping jaws (here MICROMOT clamping jaws set NO 24 256) or using a vice. Scope of delivery: 2 sets of letters from A to Z, hyphen, full stop and dash (total 52 pieces), one each Allen key 1.5 - 3.0 and 5. 0mm as well as a HEX (ball head) screwdriver 2.5mm. Includes a detailed instruction manual.

Please note that this does not make a 1:1 copy of the temple it only does 2:1 as the largest ratio. If you need to go smaller it works great but if you want to go the same size it does not let you because there is no ratio for it.

What is shown in the picture IS NOT what you get! You DO NOT get the motor. You DO NOT get the clamps that hold the item to be engraved. You DO NOT get power supply required to operate the motor with variable speed. Have you ever purchased a new car online to later find out that it does not come with a motor, no transmission, no battery and no tires? Well, I have never purchased a car online, but this is my best analogy of my purchase experience, which is what I got with engraver. By the time you get all the parts you need to "engrave", you will have spent more or less an additional $200, and you won't know it in advance because "those necessary parts" are not clearly disclosed by the company. Hmm, " Proxxon Engraving Device"? More like "partial engraving device"! I should also mention that the font included is plastic, and that you have to take each letter apart by hand and file the area where they are attached to the main plastic mold (much like a plastic scale model car/ plane). Also, a partial area of the metal threads was cross threaded and impossible to assemble. I sent it back immediately. Scam? You be the judge... Buy it and see for yourself...

As with all the Proxxon Products I have bought, it is well crafted.I am “redesigning” it a bit, installing it upon a 1/2 inch thick piece of Baltic Birch.In doing so, I found that the Cross Legs are the same extruded metal as the pieces used to hold the letters used to pattern the engravings! With a little work I will be able to use them for additional “bars” of letters that can be added to the engraving machine without tearing down other sets of words.All in all a very nice design.

I got it, and I use it, but you have to get the Proxxon tool to even use it. A Normal Dremel will not fit. You must also get the correct bits to use it with. So the photo is completely deceiving. Additional pieces will cost over $250 to make the rig work correctly.

It is a decent pantograph for the size it is intended for.If you are handy you can make this part of your workflow.I had to modify it to accommodate the Proxxon 38481 Professional Rotary Tool IBS/EI had to grind out the mount to allow the tool to be mounted.it is a decent unit once modified and a good starting point for my needs.Frankly it is not a turnkey solution which it should be at this pricepoint.also the letter tiles provided should have twice the letters provided to be really useful.overall it is a good buy, but I do not think it is what it should be.I recommend it fo those like me that are handy. they need to give better package for turnkey operation.

Images show more than you get. You don't get the engraver or clamps. So I have yet to try it because I now have to spend another $150 to get the rest of the parts.

Pantograph without 1 to 1 setting and cutting tool.
This is a pretty nice a mature pantograph but more of a craft quality item. Also, it has NO one to one transfer setting!!!! WHAT?! That’s what I needed! Why would anyone manufacture such an item without a one to one transfer ?! Also, it does not come with the rotors cutting tool. This tool is over $200 USD and it has a specific mounting collar for the pantograph. I have not even been able to use it yet due to the modifications that I need to make to it.
