Had to restore an old BBQ pit my dad gave me. Built by had over 25 years ago. it had a few leaks and this fixed it right up. I have had it on my pit for over 2 years and it has not pealed or cracked. Make sure you clean the surface well and read the instructions.

…my new Smoke Vault. It came up when I ordered the SV, as an accessory, so I ordered it and installed it on the brand new Smoke Vault. It works, I suppose, but quite a bit of smoke still escapes. There is enough left to stick a second layer on, so perhaps I’ll try that and let you know. It sticks well.

Both of my packages were not evenly wound and kinked and first one was openedThe kink parts contained no glue on them so you could not use that length you neededI say both because I got a replacement on the first one thinking it was a fluke but when the second one came in the sameSo sadly both of mine were not rolled correctly and lost almost half of the roll to defectsNot sure how its going to hold up ? But its being used on a pellet smokerThe glue on the back does seem sticky though but again time will tellAlso the lid I put in some small washers to space it up to compensate for the new thickness and does seem to seal very well

Simple Upgrade, Big Impact on Temp Control
Installed this gasket on my Weber grill and a homemade smoker back in mid-February 2025, and after half a dozen slow cooks plus a pizza session at 320°C, it's holding up beautifully. The Nomex material feels genuinely high-quality and there's no sign of peeling or weakening even after months of use. The seal is excellent on the Weber, following the curved surfaces really well. On the homemade 44-gallon drum smoker, the gasket still did a good job despite the rougher, sharper edge — definitely recommend ensuring your surface is smooth for best results.I did notice a little bit of fibre fluffing here and there, exposing a millimetre or two of the adhesive, but honestly, it's minor and hasn't affected performance. What stood out most is how much it helped stabilise my temps, especially in a setup that's pretty drafty. It's a simple product but one that delivers exactly what you need.

Im happy to say that this product was a worthwhile investment. I recently purchased the Dynaglo offset box smoker, and as suggested, ordered the gasket as per recommendations from other Dynaglo users.After I assembled the smoker, there was a considerable gap in the door where hinge was welded. Prior to the gasket (had not arrived yet) the heat would fluctuate greatly when smoking and I was worried that the problem was not fixable.After receiving and apply the gasket, my smoker easily maintains 225 degrease for a long time. Assembly was easy, and I followed all the steps recommend on the package. Great Product, and Highly recommended.
