I know this is a setting powder (meant to be put on after you apply your liquid foundation), but on its own, it's a great light face powder. I don't have acne, freckles, or large pores I want to hide. I just have a very rosy nose that tends to get rosier as the day gets hotter. So, this summer I thought I'd try out a light foundation to keep my nose flesh-colored. I've been using this Almay powder for several weeks and have nothing but nice things to say. It doesn't make me break out (one of my biggest concerns), and it lasts a very long time. Depending on how hot it is that day, or if I'm particularly sweaty or oily due to exercise etc, I might need to apply it a second time in the mid-afternoon, but most days I just apply it in the morning and it lasts to post-dinner when I wash it off. It is definitely a matte shade, which I appreciate.Always wash your face before and after (and apply toner before and after) so whatever bacteria is resting on your pores doesn't get trapped in by the powder. And either wash your powder puff (included) or get a new one every once in a while for bacteria's sake. I ordered the Light color and it was a perfect match for my face (I am pale). Keep in mind that since it is a loose powder, you will probably need to blot it on rather than rub it in.

The powder works good. I sometimes I buy the next darker shade and I’m able to open them & I can mix them together to get the shade I want. Some other brands are sealed and you’re not able to open them to even get the left over powder out so there’s allot of waste with the others.

I have always loved the Almay brand and have used many of their pencils and eye shadows, and now I am a fan of their loose powder! I had written about this product when I purchased the ELF brand loose powder, but it was for a darker color that I had purchased to help my self tanning lotion (Jergens) dry faster. When I was tan, it did help the lotion dry a little faster and was perfect for my face. However, now it is winter (since I am writing this in February!) and I wanted to try the lighter powder since I am not currently applying the self-tanner. Plus, this product is $3 cheaper than the local Wal-mart!I love this powder, which I apply using a fluffy brush, and it is the perfect match to the color of my face. It provides an immaculate finish and appears to absorb the oil in my skin when I need it to, although no claims are made that it will do this. If I do have excessive oil on my face due to overdrying (because it is winter), I simply apply it once more several hours later, but not because the powder (finish) actually wore off. This is one of the better products I have seen as it doesn't seem to settle into the fine lines or look cakey as many do. I couldn't be more pleased!

El polvo es muy lindo suave y no te deja la piel acartonado, si es bueno para cellar el maquillaje, pero lo único que no me gustó fue el tono, yo soy de piel clara por eso escogí el tono más claro que tienen y aun así es oscuro, me oscurece la base, solo si son de piel muy clara no les va a servir, pero si son de piel morenas claras o morenas se los super recomiendo, es muy bonito y te deja linda la piel y dura todo el día.
