This is really good rice. It far superior to the grocery store rice in two pound plastic bags that there is no comparison. The grains do not stick together or clump up after cooking, and the taste is great. It even smells better when it's cooking. I heartily recommend it for any dish that calls for long grain rice. It really is worth the higher price.BTW, their Arborio Rice is terrific, too.

My favorite rice is Iranian rice, and this product is similar to the Iranian rice, tasty, high quality, easy to cook, great texture and flavor. The price is reasonable.I just have an issue with its packaging. Sealed bottle is a good idea, but not plastic one. If there was a way to return the plastic bottles back to reusing them, it would be a great way for saving the environment and Mother Earth.

I have bought this rice many times because it is delicious. But, the description says "product of the USA", the label says, TexMati and it's certified organic by the Texas Department of Agriculture, Riviana Foods, Houston, Texas. You would be forgiven for thinking that this rice was grown in the USA. I just got a new prescription for my glasses and had an unpleasant surprise. In very small black print - perhaps 1/32 of an inch, on a transparent label, not on the main label, it says, "Product of Argentina". Update: the jar that arrived today now has tiny transparent print, that is almost impossible to see. it says " Product of Thailand" .
