We have the entire grouping of Black & Decker 20 volt hand tools and outdoor equipment. Drill, impact driver, circular saw, saws-all, LED flashlight, chainsaw, hedge shears, weed trimmer, blow, pole chainsaw. The 1.5 amp hour batteries that come with the tools work fine on the drills and flashlight, but this battery is a must have for the rest of the tools and outdoor equipment -gives many times the battery life than the 1.5 AH.

I bought this back in March of 2016 and 9 months later I really want another one. This gave my Black and Decker tools new life. As expected, my Matrix series drill and another B&D drill both last longer. They don't require huge amperage to get their work done, so the difference wasn't seen there. The HUGE improvement was on my B&D circular saw.So back in March, I was debating whether to buy a new system of interchangeable battery cordless power tools like DeWalt which cost a decent amount more but deliver more power. I decided to give this 4 amp battery a try and test it against the 2 amp batteries that came with. With the 2 amps, my circular saw didn't have enough power to cut through anything wider than 4 or 5 inches; instead, the blade would catch between the pressure of each side of the board I was cutting. The circular saw powers through using the 4 amp battery and I was able to build a 20 foot by 4 foot bridge across a creek in my yard - constructed mostly with 16 foot 2x16 boards.Battery is still going strong and no signs of decline that I can tell. I have two drills (one Matrix, one regular) and the circular saw. I want at least one more but would love to have one for each of them. I've settled that I don't need to shell out the extra cash for higher-end tools... I'm just a home DIYer and Black & Decker is fine for my purposes.

This appears to be the real deal OEM and not a knock off battery. Tools sound great running on it and the battery seems to charge well. I will update this review if I have any unexpected problems. Bought this on sale during Prime Day for $40 so I can run two tools that I bought Like New for $13 each.

Takes a while to charge, but it runs my weed eater excellently, vastly better than the 2.0AH and longer than the 3.0AH. And didn't slow down under the Black & Decker chain saw, either. Glad I got it.

Es del mismo tamaño que la de 3 AMP (ver foto). La voy a usar con una desbrozadora, sopladora y con mis dos Matrix.Por cierto increíble que aunque la imagen que muestran es un modelo anterior, la que realmente te entregan es un modelo más reciente que tiene difusores de calor y superficies antiskid. Lots of time
I love all my B&D 20 Volt tools and even the less amp/hour battery lasts an amazingly long time. I have Every B&D 20 Volt drill made and all the accessories including 2 Matrix drills with all the adapters and I won't have to buy a drill for along time. Only change I have Made is install Jacobs 1/2 inch chucks 31037 with the 3/8 x 24 to every drill I have which I think is a far superior chuck because it tightens better than the stock drill. I also find that all the drills have more than enough power for up to a half inch drill and even if the drill fails it's a inexpensive replacement. I've been a licensed mechanic for over 40 years so I can tell a Quality tool from a piece of junk. Getting back to the 4 amp/hour battery it seems to last for ever before you have to charge it and at under 65 dollars a great buy. I tend to use this battery on my larger B&D tools such as my 20 Volt chainsaw,reciprocating saw, and usually my Matrix Drills. You can't go wrong purchasing this battery

Don't waste your time with the 1
Don't waste your time with the 1.5 and 2.0 ah batteries from Black and Decker. This battery is bigger and heavier than those, but if you have a large job, this battery will keep its charge the whole time and you want have to swap out the battery like you will with the 1.5 or 2.0 ah batteries. I have a large lot. When trimming the grass, this battery lasts the entire time. When trimming my cedar hedges (an all-day job), this battery lasts much longer than the 1.5 and 2.0 ah batteries. In all, I have two 1.5 ah batteries, one 2.0 ah battery, and one of these 4.0 ah batteries. I can almost get all my hedges trimmed without having to re-charge any of these batteries. It takes me around 5 to 6 hours to trim my hedges. I am going to buy another of these batteries and then next year I will probably be able to do the entire job without having to re-charge.
