My girl has many of the typical animals and now I'm always on the lookout for cool and interesting animals to add to her animal figures collection. This one ticks all the boxes and encourages my toddler to ask questions, observe cool features and then she asks to read more about it or to find videos that shows the animals. If your child wants something amazing and unique, this set is perfect.

Seriously. My boys have been deep sea creature fanatics since they were 3 and have often wondered why nobody made any toys of the really wacky, spooky looking fish and other things that live in the midnight zone. I got this for them as a Valentine's day gift and they were over the moon. They are small, but well made and just what my 7-year-olds enjoy playing with. If you have kids over the age of 3 who are similarly fascinated by that kind of thing, this is a nice deep-sea creature set.

We got this set of deep-sea creatures to give out as prizes at an Octonaut-themed birthday party. I made up a card for each one that shows a picture of the real creature and put the name of it so kids knew what kind of creature it was. I was surprised at how hard the toys are. They do look softer in the images, but they are very hard plastic. In fact, some of the parts are kind of sharp - like the feet of the isopod. Nothing that would cut you, but very pointy hard plastic. There were other comments about how things are painted and I agree, they don't match the advertisement exactly. The closest is the first picture that shows all 7 out next to the plastic container, but on my set, the dragonfish doesn't have green eyes, they're just black and the gulper eel doesn't have red eyes, they're just brown.

Excellent, realistic sculpts and paints enhance these unusual deep sea creatures from Safari, Ltd.. Rendered in Safari's usual high level of accurate detail and style, this set provides a splendid opportunity to own your own assortment of rarely seen deep sea species that are just beginning to be better understood thanks to more modern technologies, biologists, and researchers. I was even inspired to make my own custom exhibit showcase to display them the way they deserve.
Hochwertige Figuren
Die Figuren sind insgesamt sehr schön. Sie sind recht groß und sehr hochwertig. Jede Figur wurde wohl handbemalt und so sehen sie auch aus. Meine Kinder lieben die Figuren und spielen gerne damit.Toll finde ich, dass sie thematisch sortiert sind und so dabei auch gleich etwas gelernt werden kann.Die Dose, in der sie geliefert werden ist auch echt schön und darin können die Tiere immer wieder verstaut werden.Sehr zu empfehlen!

A mi hijo le fascinó la web deep sea, que simula un descenso hasta el punto challeger, y va mostrando las especies que hay en cada profundidad. Estas eran justamente las que más le habían fascinado, así que una suerte.La calidad, muy buena, como todas las cajas similares de esta marca que tenemos (unas 8)
One of it's Kind
This toob is unique. Sea animals are available quite easily, but creatures from the abyssal sphere of the ocean world aren't available that easily. The sculpts and the colours of these figures are perfectly done with eerie and enchanting look. And that Giant Isopod and the Glass Squid are asset to any collector. Safari did a marvellous job by introducing this unique and one of its kind toob.
