Assembly was easy. It looks very good, is sturdy and well built. It is perfect for small and medium mobility scooters. It is rated for 500-Lbs. The rack folds securely and doesn't rattle at all. My only recommendation for improvement is the right side cutout for a handle is not usable when the ramp is folded and stowed. I recommend using two 4" wide handles mounted outside the frame for lifting to the stowed position. The locking ring pins are too tight in the holes provided and had to be drilled out in order for them to be used more easily. All in all, it is just what I needed and I am happy with my purchase.

I put a very heavy snow blower on the hitch while I was standing on the hitch as well and it never bent. It is a bit shaky but you can buy a clamp for it on Bolo for like $20. The ramp works great and folds into position great. It is pretty heavy but with two people the task of removing and installing the hitch can be extremely easy. I recommend this for moving snow blowers and other wheeled equipment.

First off, there were NO instructions included. I had a couple young men try to assemble and install the carrier following instructions on YouTube, but the video was for the SC500-V3 and there were some differences. The guys had to leave so I thought I'd watch the video again and see if it was assembled and installed correctly. I am a DIY type of person but have health problems. It took me 3 hours to go over all the various parts and still the carrier was wobbly and crooked. I even had to bend the metal mesh so the spring bolt could hold the ramp to the bed when the carrier is vertical. I bought the carrier because my husband uses a wheelchair or electric scooter when we go out and both are too heavy for me to lift into my SUV. I have no one to help me take the carrier off the SUV now and I'm just praying that it holds together while I run some errands. I'll update this review after I see what happens.5/29/19 Okay, the carrier stayed together when I had it in the vertical position. Used it to transport my husband's wheelchair to his doctor's appointment and it worked well. I have noticed that some of the bolts and an area on the bed are rusting, and the rubber pads tore and are now held on by one screw each.

First off the carrier itself appears to be pretty strong most things are welded rather than using bolts to assemble. One thing I will say about the welds is the hitch was welded onto the insert tube of the carrier at a 3 degree angle making the carrier to set off and not parallel to the vehicle, this is nothing more than quality and attention to detail . I have the ability to fix that, so not a big deal to me but for most it is something you have to live with. The instructions that were sent was the wrong instruction booklet. For example it indicates to insert four 3/8" X 7/8" bolts on the bottom of your carrier tube. There are only two bolt holes on the carrier tube not four. The wrench requirement was not even close, I saw on you tube where someone was putting a carrier from Titan together that did indeed have 4 bolt holes but it was not the same carrier. I was an aircraft mechanic in the Air Force and it took me about 20 minutes to figure everything out. But it should have been a 10 minute assemble process. 3 stars for how the carrier was built, lost one star for the piss poor welding on the carrier tube and lost one star for the lack of instructions.

This carrier works to haul my little Elite Go Go scooter around. Everything has a cost benefit relationship, so for the price this carrier works, but there are hidden shortfalls. Who buys such things? Handicap people. So getting this installed isn't a snap. You can't see the thing once installed. It adds length to the vehicle and doesn't fit in a standard length parking space. Carry a hammer and a screwdriver so you can tap in or tap out the pins, when needed. Needs a flange end on ramp to get scooter on easier. Needs a flag holder outside in 3/8 inch or larger for a dowel rod x 24 inches + so you estimate the end of it when backing. The longer than usual folding ramp is both a blessing for lower slope and a hinderance trying to fold it together. Watch your fingers. Hold on to the carrier when raising it vertical (not in use). The hinge type connector sticks out and will bang and dent the back of the vehicle. This flange that sticks out should be rubber coated, covered or something. But then of course the cost goes up. I'm using a F-150 regular cab short box, I can tell there is an extra 300 pounds (loaded) back there. You can spend a bunch more on one of these carriers. They even have electric lift ones out there for hundreds more, but this one will work. Buy a cover for your scooter, two tie down straps (ratchet), a security cable (so no one can easily steal your scooter), 1/2 " 2 foot PVC pipe with end cap for your dowel rod with flag, 3 hose clamps to attach it to the ramp in vertical position. Fast and friendly service from Titan combined with no sales tax and free shipping and for less than two bills you are in business. Two of the four rubber hand protectors are already gone, they should have been super glued on. IT WORKS and is recommended for the non jet set crowd. If I had the bucks....... well you know, if we all had the bucks we could solve a bunch of things.

Our carrier arrived later than Bolo had indicated but that was not Titan's fault yet it arrived within 5 days. The carrier is very well built and engineered. We have a rather large scooter but it handles it easily. My wife easily handles the ramp and can raise it into the vertical position. It is extremely quiet going down the road loaded or unloaded. I haven't tried loading my scooter in a busy parking lot so that might be a concern. Yet loading my scooter proved to be easy and quick. I have an SUV and in the vertical position the license plate is blocked from view. I plan to add a plate so it can be seen. A bracket can easily resolve this but it would have been nice to have one in the box since all plates possibly will be blocked from view. All together I consider this to be a great product at a reasonable price. Don't hesitate to invest in one for your scooter or wheelchair.
