5.0 out of 5 stars Add two simple ingredients to improve taste, great for low cal and low carb diets

But as I began working-out (cardio and weight training) and watching my caloric/carb intake I needed to find new diet options. I found PB2 to be a great low calorie and low carb option. When you also adjust the carbs for the dietary fiber content, the numbers are even better and the fiber in PB2 is another plus to a protein based diet. The game changer for me was to add a small pinch of table salt and a packet of equal to about 4 or more tablespoons of PB2 before mixing in room temperature bottled water. I made up this "recipe" if you can call it that. Of course it negates its organic standing but improves the flavor without adding carbs or calories. My kids agree that it improves the flavor too. So I've thrown out all the other peanut butters in the house. I use a sugar free low cal, low carb strawberry jam with good flavor and a good low cal, low carb bread with fiber to make PB&J's. It's about 150+ calories per sandwich depending on how much PB@ and Jam you use. Compare it to a low carb protein bar or whey protein bars, its fewer calories, more filling, cheaper and tasty. Note: If your doing Atkins, this is not for phase 1, but once you get to phase 4 and are looking to maintain your weight with a restricted carb intake, this is a good option. For others just looking at calories, this is an option for you as well.
5.0 out of 5 stars I love toast with butter and peanut butter but I had ...
If you are dieting and don't want to give up Peanut Butter, you need to try this product.I have tried Almond butter and low sugar peanut butter. Neither of those products can stand up to the taste of Bell Plantation PB2. I love toast with butter and peanut butter but I had all but given it up once I hit my 40's. It was just not worth the fat, sugar and extra calories that is in traditional peanut butter. I tried switching to both almond butter and low sugar peanut butter but they lacked the taste and still had too many calories.I gave this a try several years ago and now keep rebuying it. It taste great is only 22 calories and 1.5 net carbs per table spoon. You will not find this much tastes for that little calories and carbs in any other peanut butter. The trick is to make it correctly. Here is what I do. I make my toast and butter it liberally but before the butter soaks completely into the bread, I sprinkle this dried peanut butter on it and smear it around until it is saturated with the butter. Voilà tasty peanut butter toast without the guilt.
5.0 out of 5 stars PB2 is Great for PB Smoothies !!!
I do not use this product as directed - I use it exclusively for PB Smoothies and for that use PB2 is great !!! I tried it one time as directed and although I love everything peanut butter - it was not for me . . .I fill my Ninja single serving cup with 3 heaping tblsp of PB2, and an equal amount of Splenda. To that I add crushed ice to the top fill line then fill in around the crushed ice (up to fill line) with 2% milk. Blend & VIOLA! A great tasting PB Smoothie. I love 'em and have one almost every day.I used to make them with real PB but this is a great way to reduce the calories and the fat and in some ways improve the taste and texture. For me, PB2 is a great product when NOT used as directed !!! I'm sure I'll come up with a lot of other uses probably involving ice cream - but for now I'm hooked on my PB2 Smoothies.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great peanut taste, less rich than regular peanut butter
Having tried both PB2 and PBFit, and being a huge fan of peanut butter in general, I would say that PB2 definitely fits the bill in terms of what I want out of a peanut butter powder. It's very peanut-y in taste and mixes easily. It's flexible in terms of what consistency you can make, depending on how much water you put in. In comparison to PBFit, I think PB2 is noticeably less sugary in taste, which I prefer. It also feels like the powder is more fine, making for a smoother mix than I experienced with PBFit. Compared to standard peanut butters, peanut butter powder will always feel less rich and the mouth feel will be slightly different, but I personally consider it almost as enjoyable, and definitely worth it for the lower calories and fat.
1.0 out of 5 stars Incorrect Nutrition Label!
This product has incorrect nutrition information on the label! These are the 16oz jars, which have 37 servings per container. However, on the label it clearly says 15 servings. There are 15 servings (of 2 tbsp) in the 6.5oz jars, not the 16oz jars. The correct serving size is shown here in the product listing, but not on the product.
5.0 out of 5 stars Addiction to peanut butter
On a diet, can not have regular peanut butter. I put a scoop of powdered PB 2 in my protein shakes. Taste Awesome!!! It is cheaper to buy online than at Walmart!! Also when I got it on here it was cheaper to buy 2 smaller jars than one bigger, so check that out also. LOVE It !!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Alternative for Lean Lifting (Review by Ryan Mease)
One of the few grocery products that I consistently buy from Bolo, PB2 is an excellent alternative to regular peanut butter for anyone interested in lean gains. Basically, it's peanut butter without the added fat content, and it's more versatile as a powder because you can mix it with so many things by hand (regular peanut butter requires a blender, if you want a good blend). PB2 is cheaper on Bolo than in stores. You'll pay $6 for the little jars at Target/Safeway, but just $7/7.50 for the full 1lb jars on Bolo. Great deal! -Ryan Mease
4.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly good!
Bought it as a convenience item for camping and in a pinch around the house but at 85% reduced fat, it found more uses. Perfect in a protein shake or for cooking and baking. The absence of all that fat does alter consistency a bit but the taste is still all there. Great product.
