These are perfect to keep on shelf. Don’t need to refrigerate until open. We have a lot of power outages here and I keep these in my pantry. I love that I can get lactose free milk. I think it tastes just like regular milk.

If you spend any time in Europe, you will soon learn that virtually all of the milk over there is sold this way. It is shelf-stable without refrigeration for months. Once you crack it open, you put it in the fridge and it keeps from that point just like regular U.S. milk.Does it taste or perform any differently? Nope. It is just milk that has been ultra-pasteurized, vs regular U.S. milk that has only been pasteurized and therefore must stay cold until used.Unfortunately, you have to pay more for it over here because it isn't the standard way to buy milk. But it is incredibly convenient to just have a bit of extra milk sitting on the pantry shelf for those rare occasions when you run out and getting to the store is a hassle. We keep a few boxes of this stuff on hand at all times. It is also good for traveling, power outages, etc.I just wish it wasn't so expensive over here.

I live alone so I do not require a significant quantity of milk. Since the milk is shelf stable, I always have several containers stocked should I need an unusual quantity for a recipe. I like the fact that 2% and whole milk are offered plus chocolate milk. Additionally, I lost my sense of taste and smell so I do not have to worry about the product spoiling before I can use it.
